I Photographed The Abandoned Home Of A WWII Veteran And It’s Like A Time Capsule

In 20 years, aside from the sun faded chair, those fabrics & blankets look pristine. Little to no apparent dirt & dust came it from the outside? No critters building nests? There does appear to be water leaks but no real ceiling damage. Very little wallpaper damage/peeling. The garage & house seem to be separated by a number of years of wear & tear.

This is so very sad.

When you say "explored" all I can think of is "broke in without permission".

Everyone should stop claiming the photographer staged this. Sure, there are flowers and fruit, but if you look closely those plants are fake (which is very obvious in the least upstairs bedroom photo). This is really interesting though, do you know why the owner abandoned it?

if this was in Mexico everything would've been stolen, including the house itself they'd be 3 families living there already

I usually like these but this feels more like a home invasion. This guy deserves some respect even if he is dead. His life shouldn't be a side show.

So fake and staged things throughout the home.

This man needed some simple housekeeping help. Why didn't anyone help him with that? Perhaps he was alone. I'm not talking about the structure damage, just the inside.
