I Photographed The Abandoned Home Of A WWII Veteran And It’s Like A Time Capsule
18Kviews
Packed with items from another time period. This abandoned house in Connecticut is a complete preserved time capsule. It belonged to a former WWII Veteran and Prisoner or War who also won the Purple Heart. The house has been abandoned for at least two decades. Take a step back in time through my photographs.

In 20 years, aside from the sun faded chair, those fabrics & blankets look pristine. Little to no apparent dirt & dust came it from the outside? No critters building nests? There does appear to be water leaks but no real ceiling damage. Very little wallpaper damage/peeling. The garage & house seem to be separated by a number of years of wear & tear.
And the fruit bowl, flowers...
The pristine toothbrush
The two perfectly white cups and saucers on the kitchen table - two of them no less. And every surface is cluttered as hell except the kitchen table and telephone side table.
the flowers and plants are plastic though. But the fruit.. yeah
The plastic flowers are too vivid as they fade over time. My MIL had plastic flowers in vases with very little colour left in them, especially ones near the window.
Thank you, to you and Mr. Powers. I was looking for signs of staging and completely missed them.
There is no staging. I walked took the pictures and left. That's it. Believe some random person or the person who was there..
So what's with the fruit? Two bowls of fake fruit in different rooms?
I don't believe you've ever been in a house that has been locked up for a very long time
You would be correct in that assumption.
Fake. And fake
No and Nope
This is so very sad.
Yes it's very sad, looking into the life, of some ones life, he may be, lo king down, hope he is i heaven !!!
