30 Before And After Photos Of Abandoned Dogs That Were Given A Second Chance At Life By This Organization
Animals are amazing life companions that most of us love and care for. Sadly, that's not always the case, because there are cruel and heartless people in this world who treat animals like objects with no emotions or things that don't feel pain.
This animal protection NGO called Proyecto 4 Patas takes those mistreated animals and gives them a second chance at life. They heal them, give them love, and find them families that will take good care of them.
"We promote an attitude of respect towards all living animal species and support an ethical premise that they are sentient beings and not objects to be used by humans. We reject all kinds of animal exploitation including their use as clothing, food, entertainment, or for experimental purposes," says the organization on their website.

I looked at some of these photos and just couldn't look at the rest. It just breaks my heart at what these beautiful animals went through. Thank you to all those that saved them. You are beautiful and my heros .

Oh, God, what kind of monster can do such a thing to a poor defenceless animal? Oh, yeah: a human being. Animals don`t pour tar on other animals.
The organization listed what their main objectives are: "To strive against animal abandonment, mistreatment, or the suffering of any animal (for use as clothing, food, entertainment or experimentation), to educate people about respecting animals' lives through the presentation of talks and workshops run in both public and private locations. Running free or reduced-cost sterilization campaigns in marginalized areas. Promoting the belief that a mass sterilization campaign which is systematic, extensive, and free is the only ethical method to control pet overpopulation and urging the government to implement such a program. Aiding animals in need, providing treatment and recovery, and facilitating adoption to responsible owners. Provide legal advice to residents involved in cruelty cases. Promote veganism as a philosophy which liberates animals from suffering."

This is so painful- it's beautiful to see how much these dogs needed and love each other, and they probably both pulled through because of their bond. Animals are full of such personality and emotion, it's so painful to see their suffering.

I hate those mange mites. They kill dogs and other animals, but first they make them suffer so much.
They also try to take any actions to stop animals from suffering. They are trying to educate the general public on the importance of desexing male and female stray animals before their first heat and urging the government to run mass desexing programs because they are a permanent, humane, and sustainable way of managing pet overpopulation.

Here is a story about one of the pups featured in this post. This dog was saved by Proyecto 4 Patas after he was found stuck in tar. Thankfully, with the help of the organization, the pup survived and is now happy and healthy.

I hate how people dismiss dogs so easily, like not taking them to the vet, abandoning them because of travel (dogs cant take care of themselves, but humans can--we're so selfish), and not taking them on walks. Where I live, the owners are TERRIBLE and dismiss dogs and cats.

Mange is so treatable, though it is not a fast treatment to get rid of the mites. Glad this sweet pup is safe and hopefully still healthy.

Many animals suffer in today's world; that's why it's so important to have organizations like Proyecto 4 Patas that help our furry friends out. If you can, please consider donating to this amazing cause.
There are many other animal protection organizations out there. You could also consider volunteering at one near your home or buying them food and other supplies. If you ever want to extend your family with a fluffy companion, try going to an animal shelter. Perhaps you will find your future best friend there.

I have this thing about cardboard boxes. I can't drive or walk past one without checking... Just to make sure. I think Oliver and Company had a BIG effect on me at 3. And all my loves now are rescues- fortunately not found in boxes!

Behind all these stories are evil people. Wouldn't it be great if people would stop being cruel to animals in the first place? I support animal welfare charities with donations and I applaud everyone who helps our furry friends.

if this was in UK the SSPCA and RSPCA would have put this dog down, thats why I stopped giving to them, they give up on these poor babies

this one makes me especially happy, because he looks like he has "aggressive" dog breeds in him, and a lot of people aren't going to be willing to help him, because he'll be deemed "dangerous"

People that treat animals like this, or get no help for them have a special place in hell. I hope they all get new forever homes. I have a rescue. The a******s who had him tried to drown him and his brother & sister in a bag in the river. He's a pain in the butt sometimes, but I wouldn't be without him. #adoptdontshop

What I really love about the transformations, is their eyes. Before, they showed nothing but hopelessness, despair, sadness...but the after pics...Oy Vey! I can't handle all the happy sniffers and shiny snack seekers...

I can't stand looking at before pics. Poor creatures are so helpless, so sad, so suffering! They made me cry even though they are happy now. I would personally hit with a shovel every person who abuses dogs. I would hit many times.

There is an "organization" called "Cuddly" that "solicits" donations for all animals in need. They send me, daily, emails with stories and pictures of dogs and cats who need help. And, yes, I do donate. A lot. If you ever get an email from "Cuddly" please open it and donate. I would have and will take/n any or all of these pups. Five of my six are all rescues.
