Amazing, I wished more people did things like that with their cats, and love the harness! Best way to keep them safe and let them get some outdoors fun :)
I wish i could do it, but my lady is a scaredy cat, terrified of cars/harnesses/carriers and anything and everything that is outside the apartment she lives in. She gets desperate every time she hears a noise/thunder or when i bring someone new home. I tried to expose her to all of these over the years ever since she was 2 months old and positively reinforce her every time she got curious and tried new things. It didn't/doesn't work. The most brave thing she did in all of her 10 and a half years is stare out the window. I don't know if she had any traumatic experiences before i got her or if this is just the way she is, but she's only comfortable inside the apartment and that's it. Vet visits? Absolute nightmare, she cries all the way to the vet to the point of exhaustion. If it would be up to her, she'd just sleep on my lap all day. I would love to have her with me all the time, even when i travel, but this is just not possible in our case :(
They're so much like people in so many ways....no two are alike. She's a shy girl and loves her mommy. Anything that doesn't have to do with her mommy or her home is not of interest to her and makes her nervous, lol.
Cristina, my cat is exactly the same. He is 11 years old, fat, lazy, beautiful, ginger coloured. He hates new people, hates parties at home, he is afraid of sudden motions. Sometimes he behaves like a terrorist - when he wants something, or he is hungry or simply he doesnt like the guest or new furtniture. There is no possibility that he was tortured or sth before we took him - he was living a good life of an alley cat in a very safe area - not many cars, wild animals etc. And now he is living the life of a CAT KING! So it must be cat's character....
We also have scaredy cats over here... but also a very big garden too play in... I don't want them to be stressed out so they stay at home in they're own environment and will be taken care of..
<3
