I dont know what the other peoples comments are about!! People ALL over the world NEED to be made aware of the North Korean peoples plight!! Malnutrition is just the tip of the iceberg! The FEW people that have made it out sre riddled with disease and tons of PARASITES!! I pray for these people every day!

Defectors have told stories of the horrible conditions of the concentration camps in North Korea. In NK, it's not simply yourself that needs to stay in line, it's your entire family. If someone from your family gets in trouble, the family is punished as well, and sometimes sent to concentration camps. I won't go into detail, but it's gruesome what they're put through. Sounds all too similar to what Holocaust victims were subjected to.

This was so cool! Illuminating, shocking, and, yet, I understand why the woman didn't want to leave. Travel's in my blood, but I can understand that she has a somewhat comfortable life there. It probably IS comfortable from her perspective.

They can't ever leave, even if they want to. Leaving NK is punishable by death (or worse...)
