New Zealand Is Incredibly Diverse, Here’s My Timelapse Video Made From 50,000 Still Photos To Prove It

This timelapse film is compiled entirely of 50,000 still photographs set to music. My goal was to capture and highlight the incredible diversity of New Zealand. I also put together a collection of landscape photography from the trip as well.

8K timelapse video compiled entirely of 50,000 still photographs of the magical places in New Zealand

Here are my favorite landscape photos from the trip: Mount Cook

I was quite lucky to see this incredible full rainbow form over The Nuns Veil Peak at Mount Cook National Park. This is a panorama, made up of 4 wide-angle images. This was my first night, exploring the park.

Moeraki Boulders at sunrise

The next adventure brought me to the East Coast of where I explored the famous Moeraki Boulders at sunrise. These beautiful rock formations are truly special.

A little broken fountain during the receding tides.

A much smaller rock scene, the rock in this photo is about 1 foot wide.

Milford Sound

The Milford Sound was by far my favorite location to explore in New Zealand. The place seems taken straight out of a fairy tale. Here is a wide-angle shot showing waterfalls streaming down the cliffs. If you look closely you can see a boat on the right side, for scale.

These waterfalls are created by heavy rainstorms and disappear when the skies clear up.

Sometimes the 60 MPH winds would blow the waterfalls upwards, suspending the falls in mid-air, it was very surreal to witness in person.

This is one of my favorite landscape photographs from the Milford Sound. During Sunrise the fog lifted to reveal the incredible rainforest in the distance.

Queenstown

Here is a close-up Milky Way image from Queenstown, a few of the only clear nights I had the entire trip. I also shot one of my favorite Milky Way timelapses from this spot.

And as beautiful as the photos are, they don't do NZ justice! A visit there is unforgettable, and SO worth it!

I've spent two months exploring NZL a few years ago - it wasn't enough. most amazing places, people, accent, birdies. not the I believe in such things, but if reincarnation is possible, I'd like to be born somewhere in NZL. thanks for the nostalgia, it was lovely to see ♥

Such a wonderful place! From my European perspective, the mountains and the fiords are quite similar to the European ones, with a more exotic vegetations and also a wondeful sea. Wonderful landscapes, too bad is so far from my country
