Facial Hair Portraits From The 5th Annual New York City Beard & Mustache Competition
Once in a while the Gotham City Beards Club organizes a national Beard and Mustache Competition, I was invited to do some personal portraits of the most craziest beards and mustaches of the country at the 5th NYC Beard & Mustache Competition last Saturday 16th of May.
The competition has different categories so every one can be part of it, there is even one open category for fake creative, so even girls can take a part.
Some of the most popular categories are: Full Beard Natural Over 8″ and under 8″, Cropped Beard/Starter Beard, Partial Beard/Chops, Styled Mustache, Natural Mustache, Fake Creative Beard or Mustache and many more. The competition invites every one to show off their hairy stuff and the proceeds go to benefit local NYC charity groups.
Held at the Bowery Ballroom and back for the 5th time, this years competition was better then ever, with more beards, more prizes, and more fun than the last four ones. The beard and moustache fans came to the city days before the contest and met around different social encounters and parties where they mingle and talk about facial hair.
