5 Romance Releases That Will Keep You Warm This Winter

A listicle with the hottest book boyfriends to accompany you this winter

To those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, winter is a time to really slow down and enjoy. There’s absolutely no better way to unwind from the days’ labors than a nice fire (that, let’s face it, you had to build yourself), some spa time complete with a silky smooth charcoal mask, and a pair of the thickest, most luxurious cozy socks you can find. Top it all off with a steaming cup of cinnamon whatever (mmm….) and all that’s missing is a good book to cuddle up with.

Whether you’re attached or flying solo, the romance world’s got you covered with some hot reads to make even the chilliest of nights a little hotter. So put some extra sizzle in your pumpkin spice latte and check out these reads designed to get the blood flowing and the temperature rising.

1.Two Months and Three Days by Tatiana Vedenska

One of the most successful romance books (like ever) was E.L. James’ blockbuster novel, 50 Shades of Grey. There’s a novel set to parallel this work in terms of theme and success. Tatiana Vedenska’s Two Months and Three Days is a novel worthy of praise and exposure. In the novel, a young veterinary assistant meets an experienced and dominant photographer who introduces her to new heights of passion. This smoldering masterpiece challenges readers with the themes of innocence versus experience and lives in the *ahem* grey area somewhere between art and erotica. If you’re looking for a book boyfriend that’s a mixture of passion and brooding, Maxim intrigues and never disappoints. While this book tops the list of books to start a fire, there’s some other notable releases which shouldn’t be ignored.

2.As Good as the First Time by K.M. Jackson

Something else reminiscent of winter is the smell of warm pies and freshly baked pastries. For a bit of culinary pleasure, be sure to pick up the warm and rich As Good as the First Time. This book by K.M. Jackson is released on October 30th and is a contemporary yarn sweeter in nature. It tells the story of two former lovers who fire things back up in the kitchen and get back together through their shared experiences making freshly baked pies. This is the kind of love story which never disappoints the hopeless romantic (raises hand). Just be sure to have a box of tissues handy to catch all the feels and a fresh pot of coffee for all the sugary crust you’ll soon be craving.

3.Consumed by J.R. Ward

Everyone loves a good tale of obsession to get into during the longer, darker fall evenings. J.R. Ward delivers with the new release, Consumed. Designed to warm up readers on the colder nights, this is a romantic suspense with heat always in the forefront. It follows a team of firefighters, looking for an arsonist. The chemistry between one of the crew and the arson investigator is amazing and the heat between them is almost unbearable as the story unfolds. This is a page-turner and proves where there’s smoke there’s fire.

4.Your Lion Eyes by Christine Warren

Christine Warren’s Your Lion Eyes, is a shifter novel in which the lead alpha has some reservations about dating his friend’s sister. In this late fall/ early winter release the tension between the local girl and the hot new arrival drives the reader to a new heat level with the push and pull of ‘will they or won’t they.’ While friends to lovers is to some a tired trope, Christine Warren invigorates the story with dazzling characterization in what’s certain to be a hot new series.

5.Two Weeks’ Notice by Withney G.

Keep the Kindle in arm’s reach because once you’re comfy and cozy in your favorite armchair, there’s no turning back. Two Weeks’ Notice by Whitney G. has taken many Kindles hostage with her contemporary romance about a woman who writes her boss a candid resignation letter only to find herself in the middle of her hunky supervisor’s own retaliatory offer. She gets an offer that intrigues her and also one she cannot refuse as she gives in to her boss’s brand of frustrating cockiness and agrees to his proposal. Whitney G. gives readers a reliable Alpha male (who gets hotter by the second) and wraps their story into a cozy contemporary romance that’s proven to warm even the coldest hearts.

With a host of a new offering to choose from to cuddle up with these releases are bound to make a grown woman sweat in the snow. Contemporary romances, shifter romances, friend to lovers, and shifters galore will make the dark winter days bright and merry. Throw in a dash of chemistry and some electricity with some forbidden nuances, and long nights will be transformed into a page-turning good time. This year romance readers are fortunate to have not only a host of new material to choose from, there is also a new level of craft and care in which romance writers have excelled in. The writing from all the authors mentioned is fluid and the tales are expertly paced, leaving a reader feel just as satisfied from beginning to end. The only thing more satisfying in my mind is the last bite of that warm cinnamon-carrot pie.
