Guys’ Experiment Reveals That Wearing Hi-Vis Vests Gets You Everywhere For Free, And It’s Scary
David Allegretti and his mate Sean decided to conduct a little social experiment. They wanted to know just how far they could get by wearing official-looking hi-vis jackets. And based on his findings that he wrote up in an article for Vice, it seems that they got pretty far indeed.
“There’s just something about uniforms that garner an almost naive trust,” wrote David. “People trust uniforms. Most of us obey the word of those clad in uniforms.” First they tried to walk straight into a movie theater without paying, and guess what? It worked. Next they tried their luck at the zoo, where once again they waltzed straight in without a hitch. Deciding to up their game, they headed for a Coldplay concert. Know what happened? Read on to find out. The experiment is a fun way of highlighting how easy it is to get stuff for free, but it also reveals how scarily easy it is to get past security without being noticed.

As interesting as this post is... With all of the terrorism and shootings happening in the world... It is scary to see how trusting people are of uniforms... The security of these business was compromised especially with the concert. You can also see in the last photo of the concert the guy was holding a bag (this could have contained something dangerous in a different situation), if these people were (they are NOT as far as I know) terrorists this could have ended horribly. The businesses involved in the breaches of security should issue an apology to the public. I’m sorry if this sounds harsh... I am just so fed up of terrorism, shootings, war and to see that this could have gone into a horrible situation sickens me. *What do you all think? I agree-their stunt wasn't cute and funny, but an eye opener that we need to step up our game and be more aware. They could've been bad guys
