So you want to get a dog. Golden Retriever owner John has a few words to say. He shows his life before and after getting his pup Maimai, "the cutest little furry evil", in adorable illustrations.
You can already start feeling guilty about not sharing your TV dinner with your new friend. Forget having a tidy apartment. And all that hair...But it's all worth it. "All I can think of after work is to go home knowing Maimai is waiting for me, feels great and sweet," writes John.

Ha!...I got 4 dogs,5cats,2 leopard geckos,a chamaleon,11 chickens...I need to stop...vet bill is killing me!
does anyone notice the cutting onions make me cry thing on the before tv
Those sweet, loving faces are so much more interesting than food that will be eaten and gone in a few minutes.
That is so true :-D You really end up shooting almost nothing else except your dog (until you have kids, of course...)
"Look what we did, mom!" My dogs are always giving me this face when something destructive happens.
Absolutely right except mine chews wood all the time so chairs - ruined, bookcase - ruined. Walls get chewed on the corners too! Not so cute but then she grins at me and I melt.
Ohhh yes...exactly my house...always in the mess... and i still love them...more and more... <3
This is precisely why I got a beater pick up truck.
Load More Replies...Life is not about being "neat." It is about loving and sharing which your dog does with gusto.
I it's junk why do Vets sell it? Like if it was junk wouldn't Vets know
Load More Replies...My dog was recommended to have that food from the vet too and it did nothing but make her feel horrible. Gave her Taste of the wild and she hasn't had problems since.
i thought of shawn mendes after reading your comment
Load More Replies...These are fantastic!!!! Spot on!!!!! Our dogs cause a lot of trouble and cost us a fortune, but we wouldn't have it any other way. They make life crazy fun. I couldn't live without animals!!!
no im just kidding i actually have a cat and i love her (DOGS are best)
Load More Replies...Thank goodness my baby never messed with any electrical stuff, just my footwear and (once) my eyeglasses when he was a puppy.
...my bunny doesnt mean to chew over whires and stuff.... she wants to move them out of her way... 3: but i love her :) i dont care :3
We're lucky that our Mochi only destroys toys that actually handed to him. :)
My dad used to complain about every pet we brought home too, and then he would eventually pet them and play with them when he thought no one could see him. XD
My mom in the background when I told my disapproving dad I got a dog: 'Please don't tell me she got a mutt!!' My mom a few weeks later: 'OhshessoadorableOhcometogrannyCometogrannyYeahIloveyousomuch'
Isn't it strange how attitudes change once they've had a chance to experience the joy of having pets around.
I love the heart above dogs head - thats the reason why we have dogs, cause they love us no matter what (if we care about them and love them enough). I miss my dog.
BOL, the look at the golden's eyes on the "after" picture is priceless!!!
Funny post, but I miss the before picture of a person very lonely and the after picture a person who is very happy because of the dog,
Same. The series is cute and accurate but it kinda portrays having a pet as being mostly negative. When I swear it's so worth all the hassle.
Load More Replies...People told me....get a cat. Of course i didn't listen - and soon i was forming the relationship with my 8 week old yellow Lab. Cosmo is gone now but those 12 years with my 'buddy boy' im sure saved my life more than once. I will just tell people....getting a dog is great. But it is NOT something to take lightly. It is for life. Usually theirs. And when the end comes, just no way around it but to say it is HARD. Anyway other than that it is a gift of nature and God. Be ready. They need YOU.
This is so me. I sleep with three dogs and my cat...I live in there dog house
My dog was/is my lifesaver <3 I'll do anything for him to keep him safe <3
