I wrote a piece of poetry once for one of my own character's gravestones. He was a military leader and a father. He led the country through a very, very dark time, so they put this on his headstone. A heart so very bold with right, It lights the veins with spark, And carries them, through the night And drags them through the dark. Loved from the beginning, faithful to the end. Never forgotten. Captain Kyerin Shadowcall (I don't have years, since it's a fantasy story)
