This is a new technique of mine used to make a new kind of Found wood sculpture. Where my normal works have no internal framework nor premeditated vision, this sculpture employs a paper clay backing whereupon birch bark is adhered to create the skin of the face rather than natural found wood puzzle pieces together. The ears, eyes, hair and eventually the lips will be constructed of found wood in my traditional method. The bark with a backing is a new and fun experiment!
