Women’s Faces Before, During, And After Orgasm In Photo Series Aimed To Help Normalize Female Sexuality
Ah, the elusive female orgasm. We don't always talk about it, and not all of us have experienced it, but it deserves our love and appreciation nonetheless. Agreeing with an earlier submission on Bored Panda, Brazilian photographer Marcos Alberti is aiming to break up the dense fog surrounding the world of female sexuality, and is celebrating it in all its glory with The O Project - a steamy series featuring photos of women from all around the world before and after an orgasm.
Teaming up with women's sex toy company Smile Makers, Alberti called on models of all nationalities willing to explore their sexuality on camera, including those from more conservative cultures such as China and Singapore. "Our partnership with Marcos allowed us to create this orgasm faces series to upend that social stigma around human and especially female sexuality, and encourage the normalization of female pleasure," said Fan Yang, Global Brand Manager of Smile Makers. Each model was given a 'Smile Maker' and left to do her thing, and the 4 frames of each finished (pun intended) piece show the changes in their expressions as they reach the climax of pleasure, then ease into final relief.
You might want to make sure the 'coast is clear' over your shoulders before scrolling down, because here you'll find some of our favorite chapters of The O Project. As always, be comfortable with yourself, and don't let anyone shame you for what comes naturally (again, pun really intended).

I love the I just got caught in your cookie jar look.i want to be able to show these pictures to a higher power proof that I made some girls happy even if for only a moment in their journey thru this life.
Uhh, having an orgasm perhaps? Obviously she enjoys it more than with you. ;)
I remember buying a clitorial sex toy from an ad about how revolutionary it was for women's pleasure. My darling ,highly conservative lover had never used toys. Seeing the immediate response to it's touch was spectacular. Never being multiorgasmic, she completely went into rolling explosive bliss, her womb, abdominal muscles in complete uncontrollable contractions. Each orgasm clearly genuine and each more intense, she literally had a dozen life altering explosions of extasy. She was completely changed by orgasms she never thought possible while trying to recapture her air back into her lungs The sex toy had only swirled mild jetties of air and slight vibrations all through her nearly hour long orgasm stream. I watched her sleep the most peaceful rest she ever slept that night. Believe me, she was a very different woman after that.
This is not how I wanted to see my daughters Sunday school teacher.
I'm hopeful these girls are feeling the pleasure when I climax as a man,my 2 nd wish of 3 was as many girls as possible can feel the pleasure when I climax, answers the question what does a man feel when he comes, I wanted that on my akashic records.
whats with the rating system on these photos? are you rating the womens responses according to your own judgement of how she should express herself? are you rating her beauty? are you rating the photos ability to express the intention of the photo essay overall? Every single one is a beautiful capture these moments when women are at their most unguarded.
int he top right picture and the bottom left she looks like Dexter's sister - Debra Morgan !
First my wife now my girlfriend just what in the hell is going on here?
I think, it's about showing that female orgasms do NOT look like as orgasms shown in porn. Considering this, I agree that these pics help to normalize female sexuality.
I am not prude at all, but this makes me uncomfortable. 1. It's not authentic, regardless of whether or not they had real orgasms, the fact that they knew a camera was present, means there was filtering/posing to some degree. I also feel like a woman's face in the height of passion, is something very personal, and its not something that should be cheapened by exploitation. If guys did this, not only would it be terrifying, but most people wouldn't even click on it. I don't think this really normalizes anything, but really aims to arouse more than anything.
Omg, that is my favorite kind of porn: Men's O faces. (I'm a woman.) Absolutely my fave. See BeautifulAgony dot com. That site pioneered this idea a decade ago. But it's a short video, not just still pictures. Only the face shown; shoulders on up. A man or a women. By themselves. And you can hear their voices. The site prizes people acting as natural as they can; no acting. I only watch the men, because that's my thing. Hottest thing ever. Why would people be "terrified" of men's O faces? They are gorgeous and fascinating, and the best thing about sex with a man is seeing how his face is registering pleasure at what you're doing with him.
Load More Replies...I dunno, female sexuality is everywhere, do we really need this? I mean, I'm not against these things, but I think this is a bit unnecessary.
Female sexuality is everywhere, but it is largely in conjuncture with, or for the benefit of, men's sexuality. In American movie ratings, showing the face of a man being pleasured gets a lower rating than if you show a woman's. The topic of men pleasuring themselves is entirely normal, often discussed or shown in the media, but the masturbation scene in Black Swan, which was not explicit in any other way than Natalie Portman's facial expression, created controversy. It's not about women's sexuality being absent, it's about it being generally framed for men's benefit.
Load More Replies...Yes, a bit awkward viewing the list. I imagine my own face... I don't want to show it to the world, to be honest xD
I found the contrast between the first photo and forth photo is so powerful and heart melting! regardless of races, every single woman has a smile at the end this is absolutely stunning! And I just couldnt believe how many are missing the point and blame the photographer for their ignorance..
Goes to show how tense we all are as our "normal" selves. Nobody is tense when they have an involuntary smile.
Load More Replies...It could also be interesting because it shows a moment of vulnerability, which is not something that is really portrayed often in men.
Load More Replies...I guess from a male perspective, I like the fact that they put the discussion out there. It may be faked, it could be real. Either way it is very nice to see the idea behind this in that there is beauty in sexual pleasures. I find all of these very beautiful even if it were fake. I do not feel this is exploitation but rather truth. At least the face of a woman when they orgasm is extremely beautiful since there is a reason why they are making that face and it is for the pleasure. The best part is the smile they all have afterward. Beautiful. Guys look like giant monkeys being electrocuted.
It's not a new thing. Saw it a few years back. Maybe not the same "artist" but the exact same idea. I don't find anything interesting in seeing women coming, in fact it embarasses me, as it's an extremely private and intimate moment. And no, I wouldn't want to see men, for the exact same reasons. Throwing sex at us at every possible angle and under every possible cover long gone took down the TABU label from it. Leave such things for your own bedroom.
People have zero problem seeing women being used for sex in the rest of the media. It starts being awkward when they have control over it, and when they aren't ashamed of it.
Load More Replies...Watching this made me uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to see anyone's orgasm-face because to me that's a private experience. I don't get the point of this album. *CRINGE*
You wouldn't want to see anyone's orgasm-face because it's a private experience, yet you purposefully looked through an album that advertised *just that*?
Load More Replies...Does there always have to be a point? Art is personal. It's an expression of the artists soul - and often an exploration of their curiosity with the world. It shouldn't have to be explained or defended. If we're lucky, we experience the same discoveries the artist did. If not, we can still appreciate their art at face value. In this case, why not just celebrate the beauty that is woman?
"Does there always have to be a point?" - No, seriously, thank you for asking this question. Has been bothering me too for a long time. It's as if people want to be guided how to think rather than just think, so you get answers like "what's the point?" or "and your point is?" Oh, the points....
Load More Replies...Seeing how many women they found who would be comfortable doing this had the effect of normalizing that women can own their sexuality in a positive, for her own self, kind of way. Women are chronically being portrayed in media as sexual objects with the intention to arouse men. Even if those women in the media do arouse some few women too, my impression is, that is still not the intended audience. This takes the woman's personhood out of the center stage. This post puts it IN center stage. My favorite thing is seeing how happy the women are in the end. Orgasms release beneficial chemicals. Good reminder too go and have one ladies.
This is just odd - granted I'm a guy, but I can't connect to what's being expressed here. It just doesn't come across as articulate (visually) or artistic.
You might be used to women's pleasure being framed in a certain way, which is usually meant to be appealing to men. This is not framed to be arousing for anyone. It's a display of a beautiful thing that is first and foremost for the portrayed women's enjoyment, and that is something that is actually, truly rarely seen.
Load More Replies...The photo was so clear and strong with commonality - the smile on the forth photo, I found the before/after, photo 1 versus 4 so powerful and it melts my heart! And yet it's disappointing so many people are completely missing the point and blame the photographer/work for their ignorance and mediocre.
ok here is a comment for all of you who are hating on this post... why the hell are you looking at it if it makes you "uncomfortable"? It is explained in the title what it is. These women obviously knew what they were doing when they agreed to do this, whether it is faked or not is irrelevant. Everyone has a different opinion of art is . Grow the hell up and quit being so damn butthurt
as a man watching this i think its great, better than those fake orgasms one sees on porn.
Woman having lots of sex = s**t. Men having lots of sex = stud. That is a symptom showing that women's sexuality is expected to be modest, demure, and most of all for a man's pleasure. Woman: "I'm a lesbian" Man: "Oh cool, wanna have a threesome with me?" It's normalizing the fact that it doesn't have to be to make babies, it doesn't have to be to please a man, it can be solely and purely for a woman's pleasure, and there is absolutely no shame in that.
Load More Replies...first thought: Why is this a thing? Why did someone actually agree to take part in this?
Pretty certain that none of us can actually answer that question, since those women are all individuals who might have had different reasons for agreeing to do it. They did agree, however, and I'm grateful that they did :)
Load More Replies...Maybe it's because I'm a lesbian but elusive and fog are not things I would associate with this topic. Maybe it's a heterosexual thing.
There is a very deep culture of performative masculinity in Western society, and that includes sexual performance, but not necessarily the 'you have to listen and learn what your partner wants and needs' part. So it's not uncommon for men not to manage to make their female partners orgasm, because they don't entirely understand their body (as a woman or as an individual), and too often women either don't know, or dare explain, and end up faking it in order for the men's pride not to be hurt. It's toxic to everyone, really. I would expect women to understand another woman's body more intuitively, and we're more socialized to discuss and be empathic, so it would make sense for you not to really get that part of heterosexual culture.
Load More Replies...i wish this was more honest as im sure they held back their o faces and orgasms,, it looked like that. im here reading this and viewing it to help with my own self judgement on my O face, it didnt do much as they look like they arent doing much at all except a handful. i want to see the real deal like my own in the mirror to feel a bit more comfortable and not alone, normalized like it was trying to do.
All I know is that each and every one of the subjects has a big o'l smile on their faces when it's all said and done.... that can't be a bad thing.
Normalize female sexuality? Are you frigging serious?? For the past century all we've had is pussy, tits & a**e in our faces as a tool for advertisement for almost every kind of product/service/entertainment. As the old saying go's 'sex sells' i would think we need to the complete opposite in play.
I needed this. Every day on my feed there's a new series of photos of men after completion, glaring me in the face. It makes me think, "Why is this so normal? When will I ever see someone like me, a woman, in a photo series like this? Aren't I normal?" For leveling out the playing field, I thank you. Thank you.
I love this great concept😆 makes me giggle because we all make these faces😍💓✌🌈
Please don't make the male version, our stupid faces might not be something to admire XD
This is wonderful. This is the sacredness of orgasm...... the joy the joy the joy ! And what more natural pleasure could there be. It is such a gift. One tiny criticism. There are many many many women in their 50's & 60's & 70's & & & who enjoy sex and the pictured 22 here focused mostly on young women.
I´m not sure what there is to normalize, whoever think the female orgasm is a lie is a dumbass anyway that needs education, to say that women have no sexual needs is like claiming men don´t care for affection without sex or cuddles that will not lead up to sex.
It doesn't have to be explicitly stated to be believed and ingrained in social norms.

Love This! We need more ideas like these! Also, all the ridiculous comments written under each photo just shows how far we still have to go.
Life has many, many dimensions and characters and reflect in physical behavior.
I wonder how they did this since it looks like all the women are standing up in a kind of stiff position.
Photographer Captures Women’s Faces Before, During, And After Orgasm TO USE SEX TO SELL HIS PICTURES. Let's call 'art' to anything.
Photographers everywhere take dehumanizing, objectifying pictures of half-naked women to sell objects. This one had a project, showed a very human and overlooked side of women with their consent, is showing his pictures for free on the internet, and is proposing a conversation about reclaiming women's sexuality as more than a result of men's desire. So yeah, it's art.

All the photos are obviously fake, they have to be, after all female orgasms are just a myth, like thew Loch Ness Monster, the moon landings and a tasty KFC.
I was granted 3 wishes ,with my 2nd wish I wished for girls entertainment to be able to feel the pleasure when I climax in my wife both nuts at the same time, I wished pleasure on girls
Yeah, that made me feel bad. Those are some very discreet and presentable facial expressions, and the whole thing seems to be easy-breezy for these women. None of that goes for me, so I don't feel represented at all; rather, I feel more abnormal than I did before I saw this.
This is just odd. Are they all standing up or is that a photographic illusion? Could not imagine being comfortable enough to do this standing up with a photographer present. Just... odd.
they look seated to me. and hell, not exactly hard to fake such faces. See I just made a 'cum face' right now and I am just typing. But you know, common sense does not clickbait make.

Load More Replies...You can't make me believe all women (like this group) bust a big smile after they orgasm. I don't think I've ever grinned like a simpleton after orgasming. If this is normal, I'm odd.
Have you ever masturbated in front of a photographer knowing that they're taking your picture as you orgasm? It's most likely a combination of euphoria and shyness, for which laughter is an entirely normal reaction.

How is female sexuality not "normalized"? Every single one of us is the product of it. Also, I thought Brazilian women were supposed to be attractive.
um, for those of us who have never had sex or watched porn I guess? lolwut sorry the point of something like this is lost on me. Then again I have never understood clickbait.
This is so unnecessary. It’s something very personal and doesn’t need to be shown to the world.
I don't understand the point. Normalizing female sexuality. Given that a lot of babies are born every year, I think we are all pretty normal that women have sex. This seems to be a backdoor (no pun intended) way of legitimizing soft core porn.
If your first thought was, "women + sexuality = babies", that is exactly why women's sexuality isn't *actually* normalized.
