This Swedish Pilot Does Yoga Around The World And Her Selfies Are Taking Internet By Storm
We don’t often get to see the casual side of commercial airline pilots, but Maria Pettersson isn’t an ordinary airline pilot. She’s also an internet sensation who inspires her 200k+ followers on Instagram with her yoga loving, globe-trotting exploits.
The 32-year-old Swede from Gothenburg is a commercial pilot with Ryanair. She says she started her Instagram page after moving to Italy (she now lives in Palermo, Sicily) so that she could share her adventures with her family back home. But since then she’s amassed an impressive internet fanbase and it’s easy to see why when you look at her pictures. Whether she’s doing yoga on the beach in some far-off tropical paradise, paddle-boarding through turquoise waters, or posing for a picture while sitting in the cockpit on her Boeing 737NG, Pettersson is living the life that most of us can only dream of. Can she use her "fame" to help the other woman pilots of the world who could use some help when it comes to maternity rules?? I think she is beautiful and bringing a wonderful light to the industry. So maybe shine a light on the disgusting rules her company has against woman pilots becoming mothers. Help out the rest of the lady pilots of the world. She has a voice, an impact. Use it, please!!! Being fired for giving birth to a child is nothing to be proud about. Yet, this is aviation. Having a child, and asking for maternity is guaranteed coffin. Especially at Ryan Air, the company she represents as the best thing out there.

Funny enough I know another Swedish Pilot that does similar stuff but with a bit more adrenaline / Kite surfing / MTB / Motorcycle Racing ..

Pretty - yes, if you like white birds. Pilot - no. Co-pilot (3 stripes). Flying for RyanAir - pretty crappy salary.

You be careful sitting in that meat grinder as there is always some silly bugger roaming about thinking " I wonder what this button does", we don't want to see pictures of such a beautiful body has been destroyed, You are a very beautiful lady and I wish that I could have met you 40 years ago, Good luck in your travels and take care of yourself as you are doing now, And carry a long ladder in case those engines stop .

You don't have to hold the phone/monopod in your hand to make a selfie. There are remote controls/bluetooth shutters, let alone shutter lag options in camera settings ;)
