Australian cartoonist Kate Curtis turns everyday moments into clever one-panel cartoons, whether she's poking fun at relationships, modern technology, or the small absurdities of daily life. Known for a simple drawing style and sharp observations, her comics are both relatable and full of unexpected humor.
Kate's work has appeared in The New Yorker, but her journey as a cartoonist actually began much earlier. Having grown up in several countries, she spent countless hours reading her parents' copy of The New Yorker, knowing from a young age that she wanted to create cartoons herself. Today, she keeps a notebook – and the Notes app on her phone – close by to capture ideas whenever inspiration strikes, because, as she says, you never know when a good joke might appear.
