Even though we're learning more and more about us, humans, each day, why we have evolved to laugh, nobody knows for sure. It's still one of the greatest mysteries, like how the great pyramids were built or who has let the dogs out.

Now, we don't know exactly why we laugh, but we can pretty accurately guess what makes the picture a funny picture. It might be something inherently playful or naturally disrespectful depicted in it, also some eye tricks or a view of an ordinary thing through a comical lens. But what makes it a truly hilariously funny picture is when you expect the unexpected. Yep, the more startling a plot twist, the funnier it gets.
