When Mixing Classical Art With Cats, You Get ‘Meowdern Art’
By mixing images of cats into famous classical paintings, Guatemala-based artist and cat lover Maria Paiz has created a collection of quirky, fun ink drawings that she has dubbed “meowdern art”.
Paiz’s love for cats is reflected in the names of her works: The Great Wave off Kanameow, Bust of a Cat, Vincent Van Meow, the Mewna Lisa, the Birth of Mewnus.
