I turn on the lights in the girls bathroom at school in the morning. Obviously I don't want to sit in the dark, but when I think about it, it seems weird.

People started blessing sneezers when it was a sign that you might have a disease that you had a good chance of dying from, thus the blessing. At least that's what I've heard.
