What is a childhood fear you had about nighttime?

For me, it was if I was laying upside on my bed a monster would be staring into my eyes. So, I slept face down the whole time. Until I almost died of asphyxiation.
I briefly had one of those closets with sliding mirror doors. I was always scared that my reflection would start moving on its own.
i was scared of my reflection doing weird stuff in the mirror(i think it actually does happen, when there isn't enough light, your brain imagines pretty freaky stuff to fill in the blanks. idk correct me if im wrong)
i was scared of sleep paralysis
i was scared of nightmares(i had extremely vivid ones as a kid)
It wasn’t really night but darkness when I was young, I watched Doctor Who episode where the darkness eats you, and it made me scared of the dark
I lived near a dormant volcano when I was growing up. Even though it hasn’t erupted for 150 years I used to be scared at night that it would erupt.
