Maybe he wasn't a native speaker, it's sometimes hard to understand what comes distorted through the loudspeaker and when you can't see the face at the same time it can cause confusion. I get ops irritation, but I don't think there was malicious intent behind it.

It surprises me that fast food restaurants don't all have a policy that large quantity orders have to be called in the day before, so they can staff appropriately. Otherwise they risk alienating so many other customers in line who just want to order a normal meal.

I worked at mcdonalds as a teenager but it was easier back then. You either had to order at the register of the drive thru. People go crazy when they can order online. If you are ordering for a large group like that just call them. We once got an order for 500 burgers without a call. It took so look and the rest of the restaurant had to wait very long. Also just order a bunch of regular burger. If youre with 40 and everyone wants a special request of topping youre just straight up satan.

I have a v fussy son. He just likes the patty and the bun. He's worked out that to get the most patty and bun combo, he orders a triple cheeseburger, then takes out the cheese, pickles, onions, sauces.
