Turns Out Washing Machines Do Eat Socks, But There Were More Surprising Things That We Found…
My husband and I are property managers, currently we are managing a manufactured home park. Most parks, like apartment complexs have laundry rooms, ours is no different.
Today, my husband got tired of fooling with one of the washing machines that was just not working properly and decided to take it apart, starting with the bottom panel. To his shock, this is what he found…
Socks, underwear, a credit card… and that is just what was in the bottom of the machine. When he removed the water pump that removes the water from the machine, he found about $7.00 in change.
Now, for those of you that SWEAR, your machine eats your small things, and have been told by “professionals” and others that this fable just is not true… Here is the proof!
I don’t know what to say! 25 years he has been doing this job, and for 25 years he has been working on appliances, including washers and dryers. But NEVER have we seen this!
So next time you are missing socks, just remember! That washing machine might just be hungry!

Share on FacebookThis is why put put socks, undies, and bras into the bra bag. My father is an appliance service man, after seeing my sister's underwire from her bra make our dryer explode we know better. If you have any doubts about something fitting between the drum and the machine casing either stuff it in a bra bag or hand wash it. :)
Not everything can be put in a dryer - bras with an under wire should never be put in a dryer because they can get very hot.

You don't need a technician for that machine, you need an exorcist!
Another case of being told what we already knew. Nevertheless DAMN! That washing machine is possessed!
So if all those cloths got down there why wasn't the washer leaking water out on the floor? If cloth can get down there so can the water and those look pretty dry.
