In the beginning, there was only the Ginnunga gap, the void, and Elivagar, the mysterious waters through which life emerged. As a result of the death of Ymir by Odin, the cosmos was created. Ymir’s body created the world. As a result, the Aesir gods created tools and inferior races like dwarves and humans. Finally, they welcomed the some gods Vanes and Loki to their sphere of influence.
Generally, the myths are set before or after Baldr’s death. There is, however, a great deal of difficulty in placing myths in a precise chronological order. As the consequences of one myth do not necessarily affect other myths, it is difficult to say that myth X occurs before or after myth Y. That once said, Assassinating Ymir is the first event, and Ragnarok is the last. There is a lot more confusion between the two. Ragnarok is the conclusion of several myths. It will be Vidar’s duty to avenge the death of Odin after Ragnarok. A world free of Jotnar will be ruled by the second generation of gods.
Here is the premise that can be used to implement a chronological logic. When the Gods defeat the Jotnar, the new world after the ragnarok is created. And at the end of time, the Jotnars will no longer exist. Therefore, the Jotnar are becoming less and less powerful over time. After the end of this world, there will be a better world without the Jotnar.
In the branches of the tree of life, paradise represents the cosmology. There is Hell at the roots, Asgard, Migard, and the world of giants in the middle.
Christian Scandinavians continue to tell stories about the gods. The Gods are in this case perceived as humans from Tyrkland (Troy) immigrated to Scandinavia around 100 BC.
