I think she has placed something on the altar in memory of someone who has died (done in many Catholic weddings) and she was overcome with emotion/grief. Poignant.

Those people are beautiful, the events in question are beautiful (weddings mostly end up in divorce O.K, but having the hope you'll make it different because you do love each other that much is trully beautiful). Good job to the photographs that immortalise them this way. They have a special kind of talent to creat art and give those couple wonderful memories.
