This Polish Artist Sebastian Kucharski Turns Scrap Metal Into Epic Sci-Fi Sculptures
In a small village in Poland, something extraordinary is happening. Hidden among the quiet streets of Moszna, there’s a place that looks like it came straight out of a science-fiction movie — The Factory of Robots – Museum of Scrap Sculpture.
It’s the life’s work of one man: Sebastian Kucharski, a self-taught artist who transforms piles of discarded metal into breathtaking sculptures. Every piece of scrap — bolts, gears, car parts, chains — gets a new life in his hands.
Sebastian has already created around 90 sculptures, all made entirely from recycled materials. Some of them are inspired by famous movie characters, while others are original designs born from his imagination. Each sculpture has a story, a personality, and an energy that seems to make it come alive.
“For me, every piece of metal has potential,” Sebastian says. “You just have to look at it differently — not as waste, but as possibility.”
His museum quickly became one of the most unique art attractions in Poland. Over the years, The Factory of Robots has received numerous awards, including the title of “Polish Wonder 2024” from National Geographic and the Best Tourist Product in Poland 2024 awarded by the Polish Tourism Organization.
Visitors from all over the world come to see his incredible creations — some reaching several meters in height — and to witness how art, recycling, and imagination can merge into something truly magical.
Sebastian is now preparing to set a Guinness World Record for “The Largest Collection of Scrap Metal Sculptures Made by One Person.”
If you love sci-fi, creativity, and stories about turning trash into art — The Factory of Robots in Moszna, Poland, is a place you simply have to see.
