“I Take Pictures Of Stray Cats In Hopes To Touch Your Souls And Inspire You To Feed Your Local Cats” (14 New Pics)
I want to show you the cats of Limassol that live on the streets in black and white photography. I hope they will touch your soul, and you will sometimes feed your local cats by giving them at least a little bit of food.
If you would like to see more of my photos of stray cats but in color see here, here, and here.

Load More Replies...I grew up around feral cats and developed a life-long appreciation and affection for cats. I've also found that, along with individual people, society collectively can also be quite cruel towards cats, especially the ‘unwanted’, if not despised, felines. Near where I reside stray cats number in the tens of thousands. Yet the government, perhaps reflecting the general sentiment of its electorate, does little to help with the local non-profit trap/neuter/release program, regardless of its (and others’) documented success in reducing the needlessly great suffering. I now realize that only when their overpopulations are greatly reduced in number by responsible owners consistently spaying/neutering their felines, might these beautiful animals’ presence be truly appreciated — especially for the symbiotic-like healthy relationships they offer their loving owners — rather than taken for granted or even resented.

Apparently, there is a subconscious yet tragic human-nature propensity to perceive the value of animal life (sometimes even human life in regularly war-torn or overpopulated famine-stricken global regions) in relation to the conditions enjoyed or suffered by that life. With the mindset of feline disposability, it might be: ‘Oh, there’s a lot more whence they came’.

I think the black and white photos are really more effective as they´d be if they were in colours. Beautiful. My brother is a hobby photographer with a - still - analogue reflex camera, and sometimes he takes photos in black and white either, or macro or tele photos.

Get them spayed or neutered. Stop future generations of cats from starving.
My Dad and I build shelters for feral cat colonies in Panama City Beach, FL. I take pictures of them also , their photos speak volumes, just like yours do. Thanks so much for sharing !
Great photos! I'm a bit disappointed that more people haven't looked at this post. You did a great job showing the beauty and daily challenge these cats face . Thank you. These are book worthy.
Catch, neuter and release. Cats can have over 8 kittens a year. Cats are carnivores. They eat rodents and birds.
if you want a cat, you can have it. I have a neighbor who has "adopted" 20 cats without neutering them... I let you imagine what's around the house. under Italian law there could be the crime of ill-treatment. rightly.
