I have that loving banter relationship with my dad, it's genuinely fun! And my son is learning the game pretty well, some of my laughs are genuine and he's caught me off guard once or twice ^-^

Like Dorothy Parker, I love when people can take a light roast and give it equally in turn. What’s important is that they have fun with it, and know each other’s boundaries for humor. Make and include people in your jokes, don’t make them the butt of it.

That's so true. I just posted them about how I banter with my dad etc, but it's never ever a hurtful thing, we know where the line would be and how to avoid it. But it's so important what you said, it's not fun or witty if it's at someone's expense and they aren't laughing
