Soldier Breaks Down In Front Of Everybody When He Answers A Call From His Pregnant Wife
No matter what a soldier has to experience during the service, being away for his or her family is probably one of the hardest things. They have to miss out on so many family occasions, even something as special as witnessing the birth of their child.
Brooks Lindsey, a military man from Mississippi, nearly missed the chance to see the first few minutes of his newborn’s life. Since soldiers are allowed to travel back home for their child’s birth only if the labor is complicated, Brooks thought that he wouldn’t be able to be by his wife’s side. However, the call from his wife Haley’s doctor changed everything. “I received a call from my doctor that my pressures were too high, and the baby was being stressed and I was preeclamptic” she said. The doctor told her to be in a hospital in an hour because the labor must be induced. This landed Brooks the permission to go back home. But things didn’t go as well as expected. He could only book a flight for the next morning. “I was sure that we would already have a baby by then!” said Haley.
Even though he couldn’t make it in time to see the birth of his daughter, his flight was delayed, allowing him to see everything through his phone. “My Doctor told my mother-in-law to pull the phone out and show him what was going on, ” Brooks wife said. Despite the fact that the soldier had to board a plane, airport personnel allowed him to watch till it was over, after they heard Haley’s doctor shouting “Don’t let him board the flight! She’s here! She’s here!”.
Brooks finally arrived to meet his daughter and had the chance to spend 4 days with his family.Scroll below to see this amazing happy family.

Share on FacebookGood use of technology. Glad he wasn't on the plane 15 minutes earlier. And, that baby has some good hair.
Many thanks to him for his service...I am at work so technically I'm not even supposed to be looking at this so i didn't read the whole top portion but does it explain WHO took the video or was it just some random stranger who saw a soldier in front of them and decided to record??? But then how would the whole story be shared....UNLESS the video want viral before the story
Great story. Thanks to him for his service, thanks to her for being a caring mom and wife of a serviceman.
Bless you for GETTING it. It's not just the soldier, sailor, marine, air force member. It's them AND their families. I was a military brat, my dad was navy. He wasn't there when my brother was born, not home till six months later. It's not easy on families. He went for a one year round-the-world cruise, in the days before technology ruled all, and we used to put a cassette player on the dinner table to record tapes to send. My first husband was navy. Bless all the service men and women, who sacrifice SO much in service to their country.
Load More Replies...So sad that he was not there for the birth. It is a beautiful moment in life. I feel terrible he has to endure this heart ache
There will be exactly two kinds of comments coming now: all Americans: "thank you for your service, so great, so touching etc." All Europeans: "great he could make it bit it is not worth doing service to miss this time of your life"...
Hoe is this even news? These type of situations happen all the time, all over the world. There are plenty of situations where a husband can’t be there when his child is being born but it doesn’t make headlines. The only reason this is a story is because he’s “serving our country”.

Somehow I don't think you'd make the requirements.
