Best Friends

Awww... I'm pretty sure the snail's licking the lizard but the lizard is not eating the snail... True Friendship
Fantastic, to accomplish this great photo, the quality is unbelievable, being an amateur, I understand what it takes !!!
Hungry
By @dikyedarling (Indonesia)
It is a fact that ants can carry 10 to 50 times their own body weight, which is much stronger than how much us weakling humans can carry.
Load More Replies...I love ants so much! Did you know they are the only insects that pass the mirror test? They are incredible, the way they take care of each other, their 'livestock' (yes, they keep other insects, protect, shepherd and take care of them in return for the sap they produce) and their colonies, and kill any ant from another colony that dares to trespass, because they are immediately aware that it's not one of theirs. They also often manage to find a solution and use things that can be used as tools when they meet a pretty serious obstacle during their tandem runs. Brilliant creatures.
We do know the strength of ants, but seeing this does keep us in awe !!!
Wow! I know some species of ants are very strong, but this has got to be a record breaker! Crazy!
Teamwork To Reach The Top
By @pokokemoto (Indonesia)
I wonder how long this patient photographer waited to get this shot? Talk about patience!!!
Human beings still have a hard time doing this right. No wonder we're in aw.
The Snail Kisses The Frog
By @andydarmawan (Indonesia)
This snail gets around! It clearly has a thing for lean and green though.
I am truly impresses with the many fantastic shots, well done !!!
Most animals don’t like to eat snails, or so I’ve read on the Internet. But me, I’d still be nervous about this guy never having read the internet.
I never knew snail kisses were a thing until now...maybe it doesn't know it's about to be a snack too.
Sleepy Hedgehog

Little one doesn't seem to mind being disturbed while napping, adorable !!!

In some parts of the world, there is great beauty in tiny creatures, amazing shot !!!
Chrysis Ignita
By @naturebooth (Germany)
Chrysis ignita, also known as the ruby-tailed wasp, is a species of cuckoo wasps.
In the world of birds, cuckoos are known for laying their eggs in another bird’s nest (and generally kicking that bird’s eggs out so that there’s no competition upon hatching) and having that other bird species raise the cuckoo chicks, so to me the name Cuckoo wasp implies that the wasps pull a similar maneuver. Do they? And if so, how is it done? Regardless, they’re gorgeous creatures!

By @inlogin (Colombia)
Excellent shot, there is a tremendous variety of these butterflies, love this !!!
I don't know why flying bugs creep me out. This picture, while lovely, makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I think it's the legs... and everything else about it.
I remember catching butterflies as a child. Normally my sister, brothers and I would catch them and then let them go—it was the challenge that we enjoyed, and the momentary pleasure of having something that beautiful in our hands.

I'm not sure what it is, but there's such a romantic quality in this picture to me! It's like the frog is waiting for its own prince charming!
I thought the frog WAS the prince charming... Or did I read it wrong...?
Load More Replies...The way the bottom of the mushrooms is formed... It is so satisfying!!
Frogs are my spirit animal(!) and the little mushrooms are gorgeous.
Looks like he is dreaming about growing wings & flying with the birds. Lol kinda like Ariel looked at humans. Wants to be part of that world.

I love this!!! See these lil paper wasps fall in too often, though, have to scoop them out all the time.
if they can do this why do they keep drowning in glasses of lemonade every summer?
This one is the teacher... the ones drowning are just students practicing

Green Mantis

Sting like a bee, float like a butterfly, punch like a praying mantis...
Mohammed Ali was the only boxer I ever watched—he was amazing, and could talk smack like nobody’s business and poetically to boot!

David & Goliath
By @obra19 (Philippines)
Wow, that size difference is shocking! Quite an apt title to this one. Love it.
Makes it scary to consider how large that wasp is.
Load More Replies...It's crazy to think about how small that ant's organs must be. It's heart would look like a tiny spec.
Wasp is gathering pulp for a nest and the ant is blowing a raspberry! lol
You’re having us on about the ant, right? That’s just a pincer...

I can only surmise that the Atlantic Ocean isn’t as ferocious as the misnamed Pacific, because if you tried to take this picture in Northern California, you’d run the risk of a sneaker wave pulling you out to sea—the undertow is horrendous! 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

That flower kinda looks like it's about to shoot a plasma beam into the sky to open a portal to another dimension

What a fantastic shot, good angel, the color of the spider is interesting, looks like a ladies brooch !!!
I am obsessed with the sparkle of light off a spider web. However, I do look all ways to spot it's creator.
Such a fabulous shot, there are quite a variety of the different webs created !!!
Little Feet
By @llunetajorda (Kenya)
I am surprised no one has commented on this picture yet. I stared at it for a good 5 minutes.
A lot of see here- the jewelry, the shadows, the scars on the adults' arm..
I second the comment from above...'"There is nothing quite so sweet, as wrinkly little baby feet.' (Not my poem)." (Noot, Alex)

When i worked in NICU with preemies, I used to marvel at their perfect tiny toes and nails..
Compared to most of the others I wouldn't call this a good entry. We saw like a hundred pictures exactly like this.

By @bobbykuen (Indonesia)
I think Mary Rose is correct in that it is a wasp and a moth. Many moths are quite beautiful, whereas wasps are just nasty!
That is a moth. Butterflies have bulbs on the end of their antenna. This is a female moth.
Thank you so much for giving us real info throughout these photos! ♥️

Ok, sorry, but WHY is there a lighthouse in a DESERT? Are they or are they not supposed to be in the ocean?
That's a beach at low tide though. You can tell by the seashells worked into the sand.
