Like any other phenomenon in nature, the mouth of the river and the lagoon that forms it change over the years. The estuary is currently located in the northernmost part of the lagoon, but years ago it was at its southern end. The lagoon itself gives the area an extremely bizarre look, mixing the natural features typical of the riverbeds with those that are a “trademark” of the beach.
