Fortune smiles on some more than others, and for this man it gave him an unexpected gift of $14 million.
Rather than sharing the news, he chose to keep it entirely to himself. No big announcements to family or friends, no flashy purchases or extravagant luxuries—just life carrying on as usual. But on Reddit, he finally decided to lift the curtain and anonymously answer the internet’s burning questions.

I have trouble with this one, not that somebody could win, but that he gambled, won, lost, bigger and bigger amounts over 2-3 years, and then just stopped one day. (He did say he still gambles, but smaller amounts and only like once a month. It still seems weird.) Then he put everything in the lowest-risk investments he could. People win and take their winnings and move on, yes. People live like he's living with money tucked away and telling no one, yes. But the sort of personality that's putting everything in the types of investments he's making, doesn't jive with the personality that gambled big for three years. *That's* what makes me wonder if this story has been verified.
This is really irresponsible to share. Online slots are one of the most addictive forms of gambling out there. The companies that run them literally have psychologists on staff working out how to craft the slots to give the perfect amount of dopamine to keep someone betting.
