One Reddit User Got Bill Gates As Her Secret Santa, And Here’s What She Received
“What to do when Bill Gates sends you a 30lb Pusheen” is not a headline you read every day, but for one lucky Redditor, it’s a sentence that will forever define Christmas 2017.
It’s well-known that Microsoft mogul Bill Gates is a regular participant in Reddit’s annual Secret Santa exchange, and each year, he showers his giftee with the most amazing holiday treasures one could imagine. He didn’t disappoint when cat-enthusiast VietteLLC showed up as his match; the haul she received on Wednesday morning can only be described as an absolute blowout, and included – you guessed it – a gigantic plush Pusheen, which Gates posed with in a photo to prove the legitimacy of the source. “The best part?” She wrote on Reddit after unboxing the delivery. “Knowing that at some point during my workweek, I was drinking coffee, writing a boring email, and Bill Gates was somewhere having a professional photo taken with a jumbo Pusheen and writing me notes about cats.”

Every 3 or so months they do different themed gift exchanges, with Christmas and Arbitrary Day (essentially Christmas in the Summer) are their biggest exchanges in the year. It's pretty fun, I usually do 1 or 2 every new cycle.

Keep these things in your private circle. Though it’s kinda cool, Mr Gates is just a human being too and Im not sure he would appreciate if every little silly kind thing he does for someone else is broadly shared online. Sometimes you do something from one person to another, without the rest of the world needing to know about it
