131 Of The Best Signs From The March For Science Shows What Happens When You Piss Of The Scientists
Saturday, on Earth Day, scientists across the globe took to the streets for the 'March For Science'. From software engineers to simply science supporters to even dogs - they all gathered together to celebrate science and the role it plays in our everyday day lives.
Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22, and every year various events are held across the globe to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated way back in 1970, and now Earth Day events take place in more than 193 countries across the globe. Below, Bored Panda has put together a list of the best signs on display around the world. They're clever, amusing, and, most importantly, nerdy as ever! Keep on scrolling to check them out, feel free to add your own pics to the list, and don't forget to vote for your favorites.

THAT IS HILARIOUS! And people think Scientists dont have a sense of humor! HA!
And the when it's almost too late they frantically ask for their help, hoping for a miracle cure.
Yeah, just like the phrase, "Let's go into the dark basement to figure out what that sound was."
plane software engineer, wow what an occupation. never could dream of that course
Chicxulub was almost certainly a comet. They are bigger and come in at slightly over twice the speed as asteroids. Same with the Permian extinctions of 2.49 million years ago. Almost all mass extinctions have been caused by Impactors(comets). Global warming, cooling, etc, are results of these Impactors. Impactors are THE single most dangerous thing to the planet and our species. Everything else is chicken feed. That 'I know I'm Amazing' person above needs to study a lot more, because he completely misses that.

Many more reasons to vaccinate than not to. The emergence of these diseases — especially measles — is alarming, and mostly due to parents in the U.S. not vaccinating their kids. "If you are unvaccinated and you come in contact with measles, there's a 90% chance you will get . Mumps is back, so is whopping cough & chicken pox.
Saw a kid with whopping cough, almost suffocating, because his mum was anti-vax. But hey, if your kid gets mumps dies because of brain inflammation, he won't be diagnosed with autism, right?
Donald has frequently stated that he believes vaccines can cause autism. Science doesn't agree
Load More Replies...Still find this a strange thing: Religion still has a high position in leading a country like America. You know. The country that sent a spaceship to the moon. With the help of SCIENCE.
Most of the ones to the left, are happy with the ones on the right. Its just the overly preachy ones who aren't.
Nobody in the world has anything against God, but his fan club creating problems.
Load More Replies...If there's a state that needs this more than most, it's UTAH! Believe me, I love there and the LDS church runs this place!
The majority of Utah legislators are a joke! And I'm Mormon and fed up with their c**p. Utah lawmakers represent the absolute WORST Mormons a person could meet.
Load More Replies...Reni W. Is referring to the game cards against humanity, the sing has its design. This is just a misundertanding. You dont need to be pissed.
I laughed at this WAY more than I should've until it turned into a stifled sob.
Can you please stop swearing I am only ten years old, and by the way, this, getting. It's a bit sad when a ten year old knows more spelling than you do(I am homeschooled as well)
Load More Replies...Although wrestling is staged and scripted, it is still real and taking place. But I know what the sign means.
Wrestling is real and a very ancient sport. Pro-American wrestling style bulshlit for dumbbed down masses isn't.
When we Americans refer to "Wrestling," we tend to mean the fake horrible freak-show (which I believe is actually someones stage name, anyway...). When we refer to Sumo, or Greco/Roman, or any other athletic wrestling style, we tend to use its proper name.
Load More Replies...scary but true. I think from what I see that the march was a resounding (!!!) success (pity some won't get it)
Wrestling never claimed to be real. It's a scripted, choreographed show. The level of skills and athleticism is incredible. I didn't care for it myself until i watched Wrestlemania with a friend. I don't follow it but i understand its popularity.
Except that it does, constantly, claim to be real.
Load More Replies...1) the parallel diversity of galapagos species 2) the fact that last years flu shot doesn't work for this year's flu
Load More Replies...It's a joke, ALSO, are you AGAINST science? Because "facts" when they're actual facts don't have to be referred to in quotation marks like that. You do that when talking about creationism or something, not scientific theories.
Load More Replies...I don't think you're too dumb to understand this, it's just that you don't know what are the notations for : this deals with electromagnetism and those are the Maxwell equations. Physicians use then to study electric and magnetic fields, for example to "design" cables (choose the material, the diameter, etc...) but I can't really tell you what all those signs means because I'm french and we use different notations. And about the "god thing", it's just that Maxwell is kind of seen as a god since these equation are the fondation of our knowledge about electricity That's all !! (I know I write too much...)
Load More Replies...The funny thing is, the more you study the universe, the less reason there is to believe in some mythic "creator".
Load More Replies...No wonder there are a lot of thick books about who lay with whom to explain it.
Putting formulae in god quotes doesn't validate god while defending math. This is all manner of wrong.
I believe in God and Science (and I'm not against anyone who is atheist, just please don't be rude about my beliefs). In my mind, if there is a god then the laws of science are his/her laws. We don't have to agree about God, but I think we can agree that recognizing the truth in science is important 👍
Load More Replies...i know this sign probably has a true story behind it but it made me actually laugh out loud
It sounds a bit like just one story. I would love to hear it. It could be pretty rough, it wouldn't be nice but still it sounds interesting.
Load More Replies...This was definitely my favorite sign that i saw at the march!
Have you guys seen Bill Nye Saves the World yet? "It's not magic, it's science!!!"
Anyone who has taken a chemistry lab class should know the missing half of the sign should say, "...not the precipitates" (it's a science joke that a ton of people at the science march thought was very "punny")
They didn't have enough orange spray paint to do the tan, because Trump used it all
Load More Replies...Holding the second poster below the first incidentally protests against "tan"
Ignorance is the worst of the worst. It was in the past, it is in the present, it is in any culture and in any person
It's insecure and driven by anti-female-nipple culture. Weird? Meh.
Load More Replies...Hadron Collider (LHC) - is the world's largest and most powerful particle collider, most complex experimental facility ever built, and the largest single machine in the world.
Load More Replies...Too bad no one can get funding to research a CURE to go along with the vaccination. Because there's no cure, any un-documented animal that bites people is destroyed to determine if it was infected or not.
Michael Scott tried to have a fun run to raise money for the cure after Meredith was treated for rabies (*the Office)
Load More Replies...his hair is so full of chemicals that it just slid right off
Load More Replies...You mean the Great Barrier Reef in Australia? It's not dead - it's just dying (coral bleaching)
Load More Replies...If you watched Star Trek you would know that all their technology is borrowed from aliens who basically took pity on then after an apocalyptic WWIII.
Average people though microwave ovens were complete b******t until the technology became well-known. All technological 'boxes' are inherently black, until we understand the workings of what's inside. I bet people watching the original series in the late 60s thought the communicator was b******t, and I bet dollars-to-donuts that you have one in your pocket right now...
Load More Replies...Or as I like to say "Reality has a liberal bias". Of course, this is less relevant in many other countries where the right-wing is less religious and ridiculous, but in the U.S. it's apt.
In the US you only have two political sides, if you clash with one sides, ALL your characteristics are automatically attributed to the other
Load More Replies...Wikipedia is a great starting place, but not always the only place inquiry should go.
Load More Replies...Indeed it can, but that's why Wikipedia is designed with corrective features. Wikipedia is not supposed to be a source of information. It is intended to cite and summarize the information provided by other sources. It is a research tool, not the purveyor of all that is correct.

Load More Replies.....but if there was one, you'd bloody well need a scientist to find it...
Mathmatically, Statistically, and...Socially, we would need to put aside ALL PERSONAL FEELINGS (Spock) to be 100% logical.
Load More Replies...False. Censorship of scientists is why almost every single Kryptonian was killed when the planet exploded.
That's one way to solve the overpopulation myth.
Load More Replies...It's in fact true-ish... Watch, "How beer built the World...hosted by non other than Mike Rowe.
I think beer is older technology than bronze. I'm not sure if it really should be called science.
This is a beautiful piece of art! I hope it didn't get ruined by rain or something!
Ghosts aren't real according to Occam's razor, but the proton beams of the LHC are closing our knowledge gap on the universe.
Load More Replies...But if results never change, when do mutations happen?
Load More Replies...Private science research doesn't fund things unless it results in income for them.
Google donated resources to digitize every book, but copyright law stopped them.
Load More Replies..."Data" is the plural of "datum" which is "something given", in this case information. Anecdotes are data.
It was all over the news - Pepsi advert showing Kendall Jenner leave a photo shoot to interrupt a protest to give can to a cop.
Load More Replies...I would argue that there could be regular coffee without science. There wouldn't be decaf though.
The process of drying, crushing, and boiling coffee beans is also science...we don't get coffee in its drinkable form without processing
Load More Replies...I'm not sure Schrödinger would approve. Most people do not understand how he meant that analogy and i suspect this is an example.
i also don't think the person who made it was going for the word "cat"
Load More Replies...Why do you even have downvotes? You don't need to work at the Humane Society to know that spiky prong collars are 😨😨😨😨ing torture to innocent creatures that we as humans barely deserve!
Load More Replies...And they are being defended also, science goes deeper into the issues than ppl that listen to just the media realize
Jace, btw... planned parenthood is lead in the overpopulation issue, much more in other countries than in America
"Sometimes wonder twins start in a petri dish". Then some hashtags.
Load More Replies...What is fake about organic growing practices? Yes, capitalism and woo-thinkers have taken the term and run with it, and yes, it's very hard to grow without being impacted by the chemicals everyone else is dumping into the CLOSED SYSTEM of the Earth's environment. Also: GMO's have legitimate issues (such as monoculture, the greatly expanded use of pesticides they enable growers to put into the environment, and corporate politics). I don't take issue with the product itself; i take issues with what surrounds it and what it encourages, practically, economically, and politically.
GMO food tends to be made of organic chemicals as well.
Load More Replies...GMO and organic are totally different, farmers have been doing GMO for YEARS, before it was ever a 'thing'
Labeling a food 'organic' just means they can use 'alternative' pest control for crops etc. It doesn't benefit as much as ppl think it does
nope, Pavlov did bad things to dogs. Know your facts before making a protest sign.
Yeah, I get that he was a dog-related scientist, but ... probably could've found something better. (It's okay, sign-maker, your joke wasn't that clever in the first place.)
Load More Replies...The most well known experiment (PSY 101) was just about dogs salivating, and thus led to understanding conditioned behavior, no harm done
"Mitochondria vary in number and location according to cell type. A single mitochondrion is often found in unicellular organisms. Conversely, numerous mitochondria are found in human liver cells, with about 1000–2000 mitochondria per cell, making up 1/5 of the cell volume." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrion
I see you've got plenty of criticism for these signs, so yours must be spectacular. Let's see a picture of you with your magnificent sign.
Load More Replies...Omg I love this!!! From the movie the Lorax! Was a powerful message in the movie!
If something's happening on the planet (or in the universe in general) people start to ask questions. Many will search for clear answers to these questions and will test them. Others will leave it at questions and create their own answers and that's fine and all, but here's the thing: Science does not care about emotions or morals. If something happens, it happens. Or does it? That's the moment when those who believe in science will search for an answer. And there is a big chance they CAN find pieces of valuable information and perhaps they might like the answer. Or maybe they will hate the answer to the bone. Science is cruel, harsh and direct. And yet, that is exactly why it is one of the the most honest and stable things you can encounter in your lifetime. That's why I am happy to see that this marching happened.
Science is incredibly malleable. What we think is fact today, will change 180 degrees tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. Their attitude that they are correct about everything is a joke.
You're wrong on the last statement. Science is very much about data collection, prove and prove again. Things can flip 180 because every new set of data presents a new spectrum that is previously unknown or changed previous data. All scientist know that their data is as good as what they know at that moment until more is discovered. It is the media and especially online summary that publish sensationalized and incomplete summaries. The scientific reports always, always provide the associated caveats.
Load More Replies...Science is fact? How many times they changed the age of the earth to fit their narrative. Scientists thought the Earth was flat at 1 time
