School Calls Mom After Her Daughter Hits Another Student, But Mom’s Reaction Surprises Them
No parent wants to get a call from school informing them that their child has punched another student. But as you can see from this anecdotal story, not everything is as black and white as it might first appear. Because even though this girl did indeed assault another student, there are two sides to every story. The anecdote contains a valuable lesson about respect while also serving to remind us of how right and wrong aren’t always so easily defined.

Share on FacebookWe need more parents like this daughter has!! That school was ready to throw that girl to the wolves for defending herself. How many parents would have the fortitude to turn the tables? Bravo Mom, you are a hero and an inspiration!!
We need to be parents like this. I hope I will be.
Load More Replies...BRAVO!! They thought they would be making her daughter look bad, and had it all turned around. But this 'no nonsense' mom immediately recognized what was going on, and put everyone in their proper place. Her daughter is a "Chip Off The Old Block", and has learned her lesson well.
So sorry you and your daughter had to experience this. Thank you for defending your daughter when no one else would.
Load More Replies...I'm having my first child in September. If it's a girl, I want to raise her to do the exact same thing.
Hope it turns out that she should never have to punch someone to defend herself, but be respected always. Have a nice day and a happy child! :D
Load More Replies...The mother's reaction makes me so happy, I would have a similar reaction if this happened to my (future) daughter. I hope that boy learned his lesson!
Good for her, standing up to sexual assault! And how dare they just jump to conclusions without even hearing from both sides!
I was just reminded yesterday how I didn't receive an award for having honours with distinction 3 years in high school because according to the principle there were other deciding factors in students receiving the awards. Even though the student handbook clearly had it was on a 90 average basis. I -personally- think it was because I went to the school board about bullying and the school decided to shaft me for causing them trouble.
The mother reacted in a perfectly understandable matter. The boy had no right to do this to a girl.
With 2 teenage daughters. I can totally relate to the mother's anger. It is a shame the school teacher and principal failed to address the boy's issue, and worst of all, focus only on the superficial. In a society that is far from perfect, mothers have to make sure our daughters stand up against bullies to protect themselves.
wow.... what kind of school did that.... even the headmaster, these people seriously need to be somewhere else, far away from any educational institution.
A fictional one? http://www.snopes.com/politics/education/snapbra.asp
