I Photographed These Rescued Animals To Prove That They Deserve A Second Chance (21 Pics)
I volunteered for animal rescues over the years offering to take photos of the animals, helping them get adopted or sponsored. I’ve had a love for animals and photography since a young age, so what better way to combine the two than volunteering? A lot of people get emotional seeing animals in shelters, but I see second chances. Some of the dogs are surrenders or brought over from different shelters to better their chances at forever homes. All the horses shown were rescued from neglect situations or slaughter auctions; the foals shown were born at the rescue after their moms were saved.
Working around rescued animals requires extra patience and understanding. Some were abused or are afraid of their new surroundings, but seeing them finally opening up after some time and realizing they’re now safe is the best part.

Honey
Poor Honey, you can see where the strap began eating into the flesh of her nose. I bet that took a long time to heal, and so did she.

Dulce
She looks very concerned and slightly fretful. Stay calm, sweet girl…everything is going to be fine!
Rafael
Another poor baby with healed scars, this one much bigger. I don't know how people can do it. WE domesticate these animals, it's #1 priority to care for them when we Choose to bring them into our own lives. You can see Rafael knows he's safe now. Sunshine paired with love is the best healer of all.

These are all amazing, good job! It's so good to know they are safe now ❤
Nice photos! I think pictures like these can go a long way to convince people to adopt.
