Ha, I went through something similar with my now-ex. Apparently saying "I can't do this any more" and "I don't want to be with you any more" doesn't constitute breaking up. Apparently you have to actually say "I am officially breaking up with you right this moment" and have it notarized for it to count XD

Exactly what I was thinking - quite a lot of those could have been in jokes between the couple. Though some are clearly deranged (like denying you've broken up when you get a text telling you that).
