86 Photos That Look Like They’re Fake But People Didn’t Edit A Single Thing
Some photos are so strange that your brain immediately assumes they’ve been edited. But not every impossible-looking image is the product of Photoshop wizards.
Sometimes, the “trick” is simply the result of perfect timing, an unusual camera angle, a rare natural phenomenon, or something else our eyes aren’t used to seeing.
So to train them, we’ve put together a collection of photos that, no matter what they depict—be it a beautiful landscape or an intricate human creation—are completely real. Even if it takes your brain a second or two to figure out what it’s seeing.

Not just an earthquake. Sun kink will also cause this. In fact, sun kink is more common. That happens because the rails are all welded together, and there's quite often no expansion points. So if the rail gets to hot, it expands... and well, it's gotta go some where.

The most common theory is these were to be used in making the ribs of a boat. A lot easier to have a tree naturally grow in the shape you need, than try to bend a straight log and risk it cracking.
