There is no correlation between using paper and saving trees. The paper industry literally plants the most trees out of anyone yearly. And uses their own "crops". Never mind that pretty much all paper has a % of recycled content these days.

If we all turn vegan there will be no need for cows or other animals we have for food.They would become extinct. All the creatures that live off their droppings, and I watched a very fascinating show about what lives on cow poop, would become extinct. The creatures that live on those creatures..well you get the picture. Also there would be no nutrition going back into the soil, we couldn't produce enough veg for every human on earth. We would have to use chemicals to fertilise the soil.

Also it saves more than "8.5" trees. And, who does not use paper for a year

The planet has sustained massive herds of millions of animals that eat grass, which has sustained the plains, the steppes, the prairies. Without these animals these grasslands would become dust bowls. All farming benefits from having livestock to improve the fertility of the soil. Artificial fertilisers are not sustainable and we will need natural methods to maintain productivity.

I have seen the "math" behind this information. It is, pardon the expression, bullsh*t. The cost of commercial beef costs petroleum. (Containers and shipping.) The trees really don't care. Cow poop is, in fact, not at all bad for fertilizing trees!
