Few men's magazines are as iconic, or as (in)famous, as Playboy. It was founded in Chicago in 1953 by Hugh Hefner, who had to borrow $1,000 USD from his mother to get the magazine up and running.
The magazine has been responsible for launching and promoting the careers of thousands of models over the years, and a number of them agreed to pose for a new series of pictures years after they'd first appeared between the pages of Playboy. Spanning three decades, from Miss March 1954 to Miss January 1979, the models were snapped by photographer Nadav Kander for a recent feature in New York Mag.

Beautiful memories of sex parties taking place around Hefner's pool when you are just a teenager?! Sorry, but I don't get it. Also Hugh would have all his "girls" checked before he hired them as bunnies by a gynecologist for sexuelle transmittable diseases. Fun, really? Being a glorified hooker I think is not a nice lifestyle.

Some of us just age well. I am 45 aND am accused of being between 29 and 32 at least 4 times a week. I've even needed to take out my license to prove it. She looks about 50 to 5 to me. This can absolutely be done by living right. :-)

It's not just you -- women were more "natural" previously. It's amazing how different the various decades look. You'll also see differences in the various countries where Playboy is printed. Very regional, and very different. I know this because my husband and I used to look at large news stands/bookstores for the imports -- the images were usually much more enticing to our eyes! :)
