My paintings and drawings are comprised of overlapping figures stitched together in one composition. They are multifaceted, abstracted, and meant to evoke the idea that our identity is in flux. Though we are singular beings, our psyche is not. We are molded in part by time and our life experiences.
The subjects in my paintings personify the strength and frailty of consciousness and the depths to which we experience the human condition. The figures are displaced, out of sync and painted together from a multitude of people, like ghosts or layered memories, both timeless and self-aware.

Share on FacebookI absolutely love these! So beautiful to look at and the concept is fantastic. Thank you!
A little secret: The concept came after I did a few of the first pieces. I chalk it up to being too close to the work. It takes a few years sometimes for my conscious mind to catch up and understand why.
Load More Replies...Thank you, I use Oils. Most of my work is on either Linen or Aluminum.
Load More Replies...Thanks for the question. I used to, but I am mostly more interested in new icontemporary figurative painting, surrealism, and some fantasy and sci-fi art.
Load More Replies...These remind me of the paintings shown in the "Night Gallery" when Rod Serling was giving the introduction to that night's story.
Interesting. I have never seen the "Night Gallery" Though I have watched about every episode of Twilight Zone. I will check it out. I appreciate the education.
Load More Replies...Incredible! I've never seen these before and I think they're very unique and beautifully painted. I love the blue and purple hughes especially.
Thank you. Those colors are relatively new to my work, before I was painting mostly warm colors. ( Realistic skin tones ) Glad you like my new direction.!

Those moments when you wake and believe your in one position but find yourself oriented or positioned differently and have that dissociation from you body. It makes me think of lots of other haunting human experiences so it is very powerful.
I appreciate it. I know the feeling you speak of. The mind, such a powerful thing can easily be deceived.
Load More Replies...I appreciate all the great comments here and want you all to know that without that dialogue between my art and the viewer ( someone's eyes looking upon it ) my work may as well not exist. Happy to know that the work is engaging and worthy of your eyes.
