It isn't just humans that celebrate their birthdays. Pets do it too. And as you can see from these pictures compiled by Bored Panda, sometimes they do it even better than you do.
Some of them prefer the more traditional-style birthday, complete with cake and party-hats. Others however prefer something a little bit more unconventional, like a bouquet of fish for example, or a room filled with tennis balls. But if there's one thing that all of these pets have in common it's that they all know how to throw a party!

Sometimes you have to to protect them from extinction. This old lady is like humans, she needs a retirement home to end her life peacefuly. Like you I despise parks but sometimes they are a necessity, even though if we didn't try to annihilate all non human life in the beginning there would be no need for such facilities.

I've never seen sloths in zoos. (I am against zoos, but ...) with sloths, it's different than, say, having a tiger in there. Tigers have to actually move. Sloths prefer to stay in their trees and rarely ever come down, usually for food. And that's risking its life. Sloths are incredibly slow, so if a predator spots them while they're on the ground, they're dead. In a zoo this can't happen. Sloths are the ONLY animals I think should be in a zoo, but not all of them. Predators need food, too.

I got to celebrate 16 years with my first sweetie. She was abandoned, so we didn't know exactly when she was born, just a guess from the vet, so we picked a convenient date each year to celebrate in June. I miss her every day.
