Having a dog brings a certain amount of commitment and, without a doubt, joy to one's life - but what about the folks for whom one dog just wasn't enough? Are they living in a real-life version of 101 Dalmations? Do they still get to enjoy some peace and quiet, privacy, and 'me' time? Sure, it looks nice and cute from outside, but what is it really like to have a house full of doggies?

When I lived in Knoxville, in the late 80s, I went to a house off of Northshore, to install window treatments for one of my clients. The customer's name was Judy(forgotten her last name). She and her brother has inherited a communications company, including a local TV channel there. Judy and her husband had almost fifteen dogs, of all sizes and breeds, living with them. They were all great around strangers and well behaved,.............until Daddy got home. Then you have never seen such a pack of loving children pitching a "Happy Fit" just to let Daddy know how much they all missed him. But they also had a pig, which was still young, when I was there. It actually thought it was a dog too, and ran around playing with his siblings, and even fighting over the food bowl when time to eat. It was amazing to watch. It even made the TV one night. The pig had gotten so big it had to be moved outside into his own dog house, right next to the back door. Love those 4-legged children.

The one that stands out looks like my dog Charlie. My grandma went heartless and put him in the shelter because he broke ONE EASILY REPLACABLE MINIBLIND. Smh. Smh all the way to Smhville located it Smh County in the bumbling country of Smhburg.

Oh yes we have that in our home as well. One we call the no shame in his game beggar cuz he's right there staring us down & even bark at us sometimes. The other one is more subtle in how she begs. She gives sideways glances & if we look at her she snuggles up to us & gives us kisses. The cat is the worst one of all. He just marches over & tries to get his paw into our plate. We don't mind tho cuz we figure theyre only here on this planet for a short time, we want to enjoy every minute.

Most dogs get used to living with 3 legs quite quickly. Even "better" (when you can call it so) when they were born with just 3 legs, as they don't know it any other way :) Anyway, all three of them are just gorgeous!!!

HOW can ANYONE afford this many dogs?!?! I have ONE French Bulldog. To take care of her PROPERLY is a lot of money!!

But food & treats in bulk. They share toys. Vet bills do add up though, especially for unexpected visits. Some breeds are more costly than others too. I actually just have 1 dog, but my parents have 2. They live nearby and my mom doesn't work. So she is my "dog-sitter" while I'm at work. I think there HAS to be someone who stays at home most of the time in order to take care of dog packs like this. They're almost as needy as children if you're taking care of them properly
