Dennis Goris’ cartoons have always thrived on doing more with less, but this batch is especially sharp-edged. The art is stripped down to the bare minimum, the captions are blunt, and the points land hard. His minimalist style doesn’t ask you to decode anything; it asks you to know the bare minimum about current events, holds up the situation to your face, and lets the absurdity speak for itself.
Here, the target is the political weather system currently battering the US, and the way its gusts keep blowing outwards. Domestic chaos, culture-war theatrics, price anxiety, and headline whiplash collide with foreign policy ripple effects that show up across alliances and borders. And if the last year has felt like a constant state of “wait, that happened too?”, these comics capture that exhausted confusion perfectly—the sense that 2025 (and the start of 2026) has been less a timeline and more a stress test for ordinary people globally.
Let us know which comics had the hardest-hitting messages, and check out all of Goris’ work on his Instagram page.

Meanwhile in the UK "Never here Keir" is giving China a Super Spy Hub.....Sorry I mean an Embassy in the heart of London. The site at Royal Mint Court is close to the City of London and fibre optic cables that carry vast quantities of highly sensitive data, sparking concerns they could be used by China to infiltrate the UK's financial system. But obviously those lovely Chinese would never do that, would they?
"First they came for the Communists, and I did not speak out. Because I was not a Communist...."
I would love to know how many people have used services like this while complaining about 5G and vaccines being used to implant tracking chips.
That silly Pete Hegseth never DID have that telephone/computer/communication thing down, did he?
Oh, I wonder what happened to all the immigrant workers? On a positive note, though, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't suppose there are that many chimneys in Florida.
These are brilliant! Thank god for cartoonists, poets, artists, musicians, journalists, comedians - these are the people the world needs most!
It will be very interesting to see whether they're as sharp and vocal in 2028.
Load More Replies...These were painful but right on target. Dennis Goris is a brilliant political cartoonist. Thank you for posting these, Hidrėlėy. Ironically I have been downloading a lot of political cartoons this week to try to see that there is resistance to this madness.
