50 Nonsense Pics Of Cats That Weirdly Make Sense, As Shared By This Account Dedicated To ‘Avantgarde Cats’
No matter how much love we give to our felines, the internet will always be the real home of cats. You see, the fascination with these domesticated carnivorous mammals is so huge that there are tons of thousands of online accounts and pages dedicated to every aspect of their goofy lives.
This Instagram account titled “Avantgarde Cats” is no exception. The page, which is followed by 229K feline aficionados, is basically a virtual gallery of the funniest, weirdest, and quirkiest cat pictures.
While scrolling through, you may want to ask yourself questions like ‘how?’ and ‘why?’ but let me remind you of cat logic and they will immediately become irrelevant. Enjoy!

At first I was like “what the heck is wrong with that tabby’s mouth” until I realized there were 2 of them 😅
Other cats get on TV, they're going places. I get on the TV, I'm going to knock over the plant.
OH 😍 lil tucky toes! In the wild! OP is lucky, this is a rare sight!
That cat did not engage his invisibility shield, and now we know why cats always land on their feet.
Can we talk about the devil picture? WHO TURNED THE STOVE ON WHEN THE CAT WAS ON IT?
I just said “beesechurger” out loud and my cat snorted himself awake 😭
He managed to get into my dresser and when I called his name with treats bc I could find him, he popped out like this. 🤦🏻♀️
Paco the Macho Gato, not happy with the pandemic. He is older now and true story; out of the blue all by himself, he just decided to make himself an indoor cat which just so happened to coincide with the beginning of the pandemic. Did he know something was happening??? This is still his favorite spot to sit. He doesn't do this paw thing now, but for month's on end in 2020 he used to put his paw on the window, hold it there for a long time like this and stare out the window. I finally took a photo of it. He's still an indoor cat per his own decision.
This is Paco The Macho Gato. This is how he catches a mouse for me.
Looking-glass, looking-glass, on the wall, who in this land is the fairest of all?
This looks like a home hair cut to me. It’s poor face is trimmed lopsided.
Dear Amazon, please notify me when you get these back in stock, I want one.
Aww his widdle wap-top, he thinks he’s people 🥰 (receives email invoice from ACME CO.)
At first I couldn't make out the other dog In the background. I thought it was a pig lol
I used to have a cat who would climb the shelves whenever we opened the fridge.
She was all over the store taking care of business, now nap time
I swear she was the office manager at one of my past jobs.
Summer’s winding down now (it’s mid-August in the US), and except for a couple miserable weeks, it’s been a pretty mild one (hot yes, but not unbearably scorching and tropically humid except for that couple awful weeks). All the local farms have their fruit and vegetable stands up along the roads here. We have been eating a lot of fresh corn on the cob, fresh tomatoes, fresh every summer fruit and veggie with meals we’ve grilled on the barbecue. But lately it’s been a lot of corn on the cob. Even though we grill year round, what you can get fresh in summer to go with grilled meals is just so much better.
My 15 lb void Jack cuddles like this. He was the runt of his litter, so we always held him like a baby. He’s 8 years old now, and still our baby. Always will be our baby. Even though we have other cats.
I wonder what that little stick was before she killed the plant...
I know they don't like us rubbing their bellies, but that one is just begging for a rub.
First. Just like my kitty Paws. Adorable. She was missing a paw when I rescued her though.
The black panther in front, Edgar, is actually a bundle of love. The fellow on top, Pepper, started life on my shoulder as a foundling young kitten. Now, that's his permanent spot, whether I like it or not...
This post is spoilt by so many photos of overweight cats; that’s not love, to overfeed your pet. You don’t see overweight animals in the wild, even if there is abundance of food, it’s only when humans get involved.
Yes! And can we take out the declawed cats too? That's just animal cruelty!
