I Illustrate The Sad Truth Of Modern Life And Take A Critical Look At Our Society (30 New Pics)
I’m an Italian freelance illustrator from Milan. I work mostly for magazines, newspapers, and websites. When I work on commission I try to find an unusual and effective way to draw the topic that I have to illustrate. When I work for myself, to improve the portfolio, I choose a topic that I feel is more close to my interest.
When I work for clients I work mostly in digital because it is the only way to deliver artwork in the tight deadlines of magazines and ASV agencies;
plus digital media allows me to work with people from any location in the world.
My residency is based in Vilnius, Lithuania. But since 2016 I've been traveling and living in different places: Thailand, Mexico, Colombia, and right now in Bal, doing what I think is called digital nomad.
I work mostly with Photoshop and Painter. It has been a beautiful experience seeing different places and people, but I started to be a little bit tired of moving every time: I think in the near future I will be back in Europe to stay.

I keep falling, I keep falling for you, like the rainfall, like a cannonball...
We've had a number of kids who got struck down by electrical discharges while trying to take sefies on top of trains (they rarely survive, sadly). Or fell down while taking selfies from the roofs of abandoned construction sites. I suppose other countries have similar cases as well.
Thanks for the downvotes y'all! Doesn't make it less true.
Load More Replies...No. It is not true that skeletons blow virus-bubbles'
Load More Replies...thank you ) actually i think they added the new works on the old post, that s why dosen t match with some illustrations
Load More Replies...i can relate, im not sure why but often when i start listening to music i find myself in a completly different place (mentally if that makes sense), i guess i use it as an escapism
I like this one! Diving in your deepest slumber/dreams! Sogni profundi?
Which sad truth of modern life is this? Can someone help me? I don't get this one... :-/ edit: does it maybe mean that people use sleep to flee/escape from reality? (Because she's diving into space which is unrealistic -?-)
Snakes are cats natural predators, which is why they are scared of cucumbers, they look like snakes
it should be in a dumpster. and on fire. so it could be described as a shitty dumpster fire
Thanks, now I have Metallica stuck in my head (you're right, though)
Load More Replies...Considering how old the Earth exists and how slow evolution is, it's remarkable how quick human (and technological) progress is ... and also how quick the climate is changing since the 1950s
It was slower during the middle ages in Europe, because people were less open to new things, now it'll be even faster.
Load More Replies...hahah in fact i don t know why this title, those work are about space, i guess they added to the previous post so still the old title for the series :)
Load More Replies...Yes, and probably how it is caused by unhealthy beauty standards on social media
Load More Replies...i love this so much, the art style, the colour choices, just- EVERYTHING
But does smoking send you to hell tied to a tree with a halo?
Load More Replies...Smoking is killing people I think is what it's trying to say
Load More Replies...NO TITANIC THERES AN ICEBERG!!! Oh god he has AirPods in!!! LOOK OUT!!!
Not sure what has exactly knocked down Titanic, a bomb or pandemic?
And it does break (the world) in half: those who can provide treatment for their citizens and those who can't. Not to mention those who refuse to believe that the ship was sinking and/or the limited vessels and vests available. Oh boy! So many metaphors... or am I reading too much into it, because I've watched Titanic a few days ago?
Just because you type it in all caps doesn't make it true, Dumb-dumb.
Load More Replies...Yep. Cruising in The Millenium Shark on the way to the galaxy hotel and casino.
Load More Replies...We were somewhere around Mos Eisley on the edge of the Jundland Wastes when the drugs began to take hold...
In some cultures this is actually some thing they do. Even before cell phones had cameras on them people from certain parts of the world absolutely use open casket and they take photographs of their dead…I do not get it
I took a picture of my husband after he passed. The reason was because he look so happy and peaceful. I had not seen him look so "well" in several years. May sound weird for some but made coping manageable for me.
Load More Replies...Totally true and sad. All this hurts even more when you're far away and unnable to do anything about it.
Load More Replies...This so reminds me of Moana. WE SET A COURSE TO FIND A BRAND NEW ISLAND EVERYWHERE WE ROAAAAAAM
WE TELL THE STORIES OF OUR ELDERS IN A NEVER ENDING CHAINNNNNN
Load More Replies...Trump? Selling away the planet to alien overlords? He would NEVER do that! Ha!
Load More Replies...They have Conquistador helmets. This isn't going to end well for the natives...i.e. Earthlings.
yeah, this is offensive for the clowns... this guy right there is the worst scumbag ever
Bolsonaro, the brazilian president. He's doing a terrible job with the covid pandemia
Load More Replies...This one has me singing Sinatra... "Fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars"
Yes, and I like them, too. They're so under appreciated. Lux, they're simply magnificent!
Load More Replies.... . . Right through the air and into your lungs. You might die now . . .
Load More Replies...okay but the art on this is so good it looks so much like the Tim Curry IT
Actually, that’s the inside of a music box, but without the box. :)
Load More Replies...Cause he is about to throw her out the window to see if she can fly. Or bounce. 🤓
Load More Replies...A lot of these are clever and the art is unique and pretty, but can we give the phone bad ones a rest? It isn't really though provoking if everyone's already said everything there is to say about the problems of technology. Especially the zeroing in on selfies as enemy number 1- when did we decide that taking a picture of yourself is the epitome of evil? I'm trying not to be harsh, I just want to critique that style of commentary.
These are fantastic, I really really like them. Very important messages.
you're one of the few people I follow on Instagram, and I love every one of your posts there
A tip. If you have to TELL people that your art is "thought provoking", it's not. Nice cartoons, though.
Great work! A lot of these weren't particularly sad or depressing, mostly just beautiful and truthful.
I am gonna be so deep and tell people on social media that social media is bad. Also i am gonna tell them that technology and money are bad while i use the same technology to make money. And yes,Corona...because Corona
