Hi! I'm an Italian freelance illustrator, at the moment living in Mexico City. I work with magazines by mail, mostly for USA, Italia, and Mexico. I work in mixed media traditional plus digital program.
Some time ago I shared some of my works with you. Now I present the new illustrations that I made in the years after the first post.
Some were made on commission for magazines and others are personal work.

True Crime
My immediate association for this pic was something else - I felt like society has sunk low enough to the point that a person would watch with a bored face a reality TV show ( Big brother style) of prisoners suffer in jail. Even more specifically the prisoner is trying to reach for help from the "healthy" part of society but gets blocked by a transparent wall and a bored face.

was a commission i made for a magazines, the articles was talking about the relation between marginalization and terrorism. How often ISIS fuond adepts, among marginalized person with families situation of alcoholism and drugs abuse
I am loving all your works, but especially this one. I think it's an especially brave thing to state the truth especially when it's one that not everyone wants to hear. There is countless evidence (probably listed in the article you did this for) to link the adoption of extremism with troubled individuals disconnected from the rest of the religious Muslim community. They end up finding ISIS propaganda online and they think it is their chance at instant salvation and it could not be farther from the truth. The truth is that the more that (Muslims) are involved, engaged with their local Muslim community, the significantly less likely they are to have anything to do with extremism. Every mosque I know of actually reports individuals with blatant extremist views to the proper authorities. We do not take intentions of violence lightly. So again, thank you for this piece!
Jihadists can be recruited because they cannot find a way out of their addictions, criminalism and social problems themselves. The weird thing is that they are bombarded with drugs to perform abhorrent crimes to redeem themselves, and the most stupid thing is: they believe it!
Please find my comment below as it may shed some light on this piece. In short, it is people with criminal past or problems with addictions, or other 'problems' that ever find ISIS propaganda appealing. Not being a devout Muslim as media would have you believe.
Load More Replies...This is sharp and true. Young people feel alienated and lonely even among their peers. This is also relevant for those, who live in Europe. They are not fully accepted by people in Europe and they don't fully belong to their world, as they are a part of European society. So they find something they can relate to in ISIS. Their magazine (Dabiq) promises to potential followers a feeling of belonging and unity as well as a common aim and wealth.
Marco not always; as you see it maybe! many that become are very intelligent with a bent for destruction and violence. A need to be satisfied in an unsatisfactory life. A life where when rage takes over it can be acquiesced.
Bad Support
Why is it bad to support failure? To quote Yoda from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, "Failure, a great teacher is."

Writing Therapy
As a writer, writing isn’t for money, it’s a passion. That is why you shouldn’t be graded on it- it comes from the heart. My English teachers gave me bad grades because I wanted to get creative, and not do what everyone else did.

this is the equivalent to inspirational qoutes from random facebook blogs. deep on first glance. but basically just some stereotypical stuff with no reflection
so you need some copy paste artists to make you think?
Load More Replies...there have been so many posts like this! its getting kinda boring! yes we all know our society sucks
but this ones probably the first one thats actually interesting
Load More Replies...Piene di significato e sicuramente fanno riflettere! Ottimo lavoro! Keep it up!
wow. this art style is amazing while still making you really think and be insightful.
Well done Marco! I love how you manage to be caustic yet intriguing.
sometimes you need the picture to see the written words and find new perspective
there should be illustrations about artists and celebrities beating dead horses...
this medium is both vapid and oversaturated none of this is "deep" and it equates to "You darned young people with your internets and instasnaps"
It actually takes a brilliant mind to be able to illustrate thoughts that are relatable to the populous. Bravo.
I do like the art style too! However, never think that people are "stupid", Mimikyu, they aren''t, they just perceive things differently from you :).
