Bride Picks Out Dress For Her Friend Who Rocks It So Much That She Gets Uninvited From The Wedding

Even though marriage is not a societal requirement anymore, people that decide to have this commitment ceremony spend months perfecting the event. Which absolutely makes sense – why wouldn’t they? An occasion where two become one should be a special day to remember.

Whether having a wedding is a significant part of one’s culture or religion where the celebration can go on for weeks, or it’s purely done to let the bride and the groom experience their magical day – weddings have an extremely valuable and universal purpose of those spoken promises that will seal people’s love forever.

However, sometimes instead of focusing on the said love and the actual importance of the day, people feverishly concentrate on insignificant things.

More info: TikTok | Instagram

Everyone wants their wedding day to be perfect, but sometimes things take a bizarre turn

The story of a woman named Alena perfectly suits this kind of category, as she shared her icky story about how one of her closest friends decided to disinvite her from her wedding purely because of the way she looked.

The TikTok that Alena posted went viral with over 7M views and received 10K comments where people expressed their opinions and also debated about this rather ridiculous situation.

A woman claims that she got uninvited from her friend’s wedding because she looked “too good”

Alena, a German model, took it to TikTok to share the upsetting incident that happened to her and one of her oldest friends, who was about to become a wife. With the wedding date already chosen and the ceremony preparation coming to an end, Alena was excited to be present and to finally support her friend on her magical day.

The wife-to-be decided to go all out and even personally chose the dress for Alena – however, right before the wedding, the OP received some shocking news about being uninvited from the event as she ended up looking “too good”.

The level of absurdity of the situation where a close friend chooses to push someone away right before their wedding purely because of being potentially outshined is unpleasant enough. But understanding that this happened due to a pre-planned outfit that the bride chose herself is very much shocking.

However, despite this nonsense, Alena didn’t let it upset her and ended up taking some fabulous photos while wearing this beautiful sequin gown.

Toxic wedding culture is unquestionably a thing. People want everything to be unhealthily perfect, which takes all the charm away. The day that was supposed to be special is not so special anymore, as people choose to focus their attention on the visual and materialistic parts. And this kind of mentality often leads to unnecessary troubles, where people can’t enjoy and truly celebrate their love.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what seemed to have happened in Alena’s story as her friends decided to put their love aside and focus on completely irrelevant things that led them to have this worthless conflict.

Don’t hesitate to comment below if there’s anything you would like to add in regards of this odd situation.

You can watch the video here:

Many TikTok users supported the OP and showered her with compliments

This didn’t happen. Pretty people who claim to have been uninvited for being too good looking are usually the ones that make it up to inflate their ego & the dimwits out there believe it & fuel their narcissism. All she wants is people to tell her how beautiful she is in the dress. She looks great & … what else does she want? There’s about 10,000 young women on IG alone that look exactly like her.

This is so weird about western weddings. Only the bride is supposed to look the best. Y’all should check out pictures of Indian weddings. Everyone is supposed to be in their best, can’t even tell who the bride is sometimes. It’s very insulting if you don’t dress up and look a million dollars in someone’s wedding in India. I don’t get the bride being upset if someone else looks better. If/when I get married ( don’t even have a gf. I’m a woman by the way), I would want everyone to shine. It’s so sad that people would rather uninvite friends just cuz they look too nice

it's a beautiful dress, and it probably would have outdone any other dresses because you carry the dress and colors, embroidery very well. I have never heard of such thing before though, to uninvite someone for a dress you gift them to wear on your day.

The dress wasn't perfect, she needs to hold it to her chest when even bending a little. I'd never pick out a dress with that kind of cleavage for my friends tbh. I wouldn't even pick out a dress. And none of my friends would have such cleavage. Yes, I think the dress is gorgeous but not to my taste for a wedding. But the bride chose it. Wondering what the bride is going to wear - only lingerie? Anyway, stunning lady, great dress, but seems unfomcortable as she's afraid her boobs fall out/nipples are shown. Good dress for a few pictures though.

The fact the bride choose the dress, and choose that one is odd to me. If she was the kind to not want to be outshone, why choose a dress that will show off her friend so well? This is all on the bride in my opinion.

I like how the comments on Tiktok are women saying they wouldn't mind or they would EXPECT they're bridesmaids to look this good or all they care about is everyone has a good time ... BITCH PLEASE! You know good and well your asses would have a full on breakdown if you were in the bride's shoes, why are you lying and claiming otherwise, and NO, you aren't the exception to becoming very jealous. Do you have eyes? Do you see this lady?! She would most definitely immediately outshine the bride, don't act like you asses would be the bigger person, when really you'd sit in the floor sobbing that it's not fair. (I'm a female)

Just because you'd have a meltdown doesn't mean everyone would lol. If I was her friend and was that worried about being outshone on my wedding day, I'd just pick out a plainer dress that she still liked and agreed to. Simple solution. This comment and you insisting anyone who disagrees with you is lying makes you sound like a drama queen.

Was it a wedding for strippers? Beautiful dress, looks great on the woman, but totally not appropriate for a "church" wedding, so, obviously, alternative venue. Stripper club?

Probably fake, but if we go along with it I dunno what dress she was going to pic for this woman that she didn’t steal the room. Goodness gracious!

it's a beautiful dress, and it probably would have outdone any other dresses because you carry the dress and colors, embroidery very well. I have never heard of such thing before though, to uninvite someone for a dress you gift them to wear on your day.

It was not the dress... it's her friend's insecurity.

Not her fault. The bride is insecure. If this actually even happened. You never know these days.

Nothing worse than an insecure, grandiose narcissistic bride.

What a beauty! With these looks she could probably wear pjs to the wedding and still look too good for the bride😉

Because women should only wear dresses where they're covered from nose to toe? Good lord.
