It goes without saying that beauty queens are, well, beautiful. But as you can see from the pictures below, they're even more beautiful when they're not on the catwalk.
Beauty competitions like Miss World and Miss Universe often require the contestants to wear incredible amounts of makeup and dress in various eye-catching outfits, but we're sure you'll agree that these women look so much better in the photographs taken from their real lives. The list of pictures includes beauty queens from several countries including The Philippines, Spain, Colombia and Venezuela. Which one do you think looks the best? Let us know in the comments below, and don't forget to vote! (h/t: brightside)

Glasses = nerdy?! the rest of us call it near-sightedness. Give your head a shake.
Load More Replies...The girl on the right seems to have a far wider bottom part of the nose. Impostor?
Paulina Vega (Colombia), Miss Universe 2014
Left = generic hot chick. I've known dozens of them and it's hard to tell them apart. Right = gorgeous girl who looks like an individual, not some pre-packaged merchandise. If they were two different girls at a bar, I'd for damn sure be more interested in righty. I don't get why girls want that makeup'd look. It's awful.
Looks much better in the second photo. The natural look would turn heads, the made up look makes her look just like all the other models.
She looks much younger and prettier in my opinion on the right photo.
she kinda resembles ADRIENNE CURRY from AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL on the right
Dayana Mendoza (Venezuela), Miss Universe 2008
Personally, I think she is drop dead gorgeous in the photo on the right! WOW! Less is sometimes more!
Why is her skin tone completely different between the two? The right is much, much better.
Most people wear fake tan for this, and also lighting or possibly photoshop can change how she looks.
Load More Replies...Her photo on the right is surely going to beat the left side Miss Universe pic.
Leila Lopes (Angola), Miss Universe 2011
It can't be photoshoppy without actually being photoshopped.
Load More Replies...The pic on the right is so natural without any makeup it is far more stunning than the pic on the left
I wouldn't call anyone ugly unless I'm an eye candy myself. :)
Load More Replies...Azra Akin (Turkey), Miss World 2002
Riyo Mori (Japan), Miss Universe 2007
Lose the dress, wear the uniform on stage. Nothing better than a pretty girl in uniform.
Olivia Culpo (USA), Miss Universe 2012
She looks 100 times younger and 100 times more pretty in the photo on the right
yes, but she is also wearing make up on the right. The lighting and filters are different.
Load More Replies...Olivia Culpo is one of the prettiest girls on Earth. See that Nick Jonas video for proof.
she is mexican descent , born in usa for those that are saying " she don't look american " because people had the wrong mind or racist idea that americans are white skin green eyes . well is not truth. we had indigenous american, Asian , middle Easter, and Hispanic american is not white skin green/blue eyes .
What does that even mean? America is a melting pot of people and cultures.... We all look different.

A-booga-booga-booga..... Gotta love (and squeeze) those baby cheeks on the right... right??
Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (Philippines), Miss Universe 2015
Yeah, well that coronation was awkward af hahaha!
Load More Replies...I guess you are referring to yourself? Or need glasses? Probably you are just jealous
Load More Replies...Ximena Navarrete (Mexico), Miss Universe 2010
Rolene Strauss (South Africa), Miss World 2014
Stefania Fernandez (Venezuela), Miss Universe 2009
Ivian Sarcos (Venezuela), Miss World 2011
I know some people find it unattractive but I like the way her hair appears to be blowing across her face in the second photo.
Yu Wenxia (China), Miss World 2012
That's how you go out every day? Wow. I have to admire the effort put in but that's a little overkill. Still pretty though!
Putting that on her head probably took her less than 10 seconds
Load More Replies...This photo comparison is a fail. The right is NOT her everyday look. That's another costume (from a minority group in China).
Well if it's for a minority group then I disagree. I think that if they're wearing things for their culture it's still natural.
Load More Replies...Mireia Lalaguna (Spain), Miss World 2015
I'm pretty certain she is wearing make up in both photos.. Not that it is important. Beautiful woman who has deserved the crown she is wearing!
Load More Replies...To be honest, I'd repeat your question, only with the difference that the "really" part would refer not to the girl, but to the contest instead. I find beauty contests nonsense in the first place, because how can you rate something as subjective as beauty? But, oh well, as long as the contestants are happy.... Let's just not take it too seriously.

Ksenia Sukhinova (Russia), Miss World 2008
Kaiane Aldorino (Gibraltar), Miss World 2009
Zuleyka Jerrís Rivera Mendoza (Puerto Rico), Miss Universe 2006
1. I think she is beautiful in both photos; 2. The fact she's featured with mud on her face makes her appear as a funny one to hang around with, beauty both inside and outside, providing, of course, she chose that picture herself. (also, that doesn't mean the other girls have not nice personalities, I just had to react to the other comments ♥)
The fact that she is wearing false lashes, while havinga mud on her face doesn't make it so cool though
Load More Replies...I don't they're real. At the very least, they're lash extensions
Load More Replies...Why did she submit a photo of her with mud on her face now we still don't know what she really looks like
I don't think she submitted her photo at all, the author or someone else probably chose it. I'm no expert but I don't think there are too many miss universe's hanging out on bored panda
Load More Replies...the first one is a mix of a duck and a robot. plus makeup. they look so different on left photos...
Load More Replies...Alexandria Mills (USA) Miss World 2010
it looks like a super-mega-magnified red blood cell was photoshopped on her head
Load More Replies...For a second I thought she was a golfer from looking at the trophy.
I'm amazed at how much younger and honestly more candid and beautiful they all look in their dressed down less/no makeup photos. Gorgeous!
Amazing just how much prettier the women look without that extreme stage make-up.
Real life pics are so much better, genuine, sweet, approachable. The contestant photos are in some cases off-putting up-close. Often times, the make-up is meant to be seen from far away while the contestants are on stage. It's the same with any stage-performer. Much heavier than needed but visible from a distance. It's an apples to oranges comparison.
I love seeing stuff like this because honestly it's kind of nice to be able to see these gorgeous women who are actually human
How about compete based on natural beauty? Hands down, the images on the right are far more attractive, sexy, smart, and everything else better.
I know in some pageants they do have a natural category but that's more natural makeup
Load More Replies...Wow. They may seem beautiful on stage, but they're even more beautiful with no makeup or dresses on.
Wow these women are beautiful. Keep up the good work ladies. You don't need make up to look beautiful. That goes to all you ladies.
