Helena Georgiou, a Cypriot photographer known for her collection of ordinary people has a large collection of minimal photography.

“My photos come from my deep passion for creativity and details,” says Helena. “Through them, I express my feelings and also attempt to bring my experiences from my trips, thoughts. My greatest influences, however, are poetry and literature. I believe the most important quality of a photograph, as in all of art, is its ability to evoke an emotional response.”

Helena Georgiou was born and raised in Nicosia. At college, she studied Business Administration and Architecture (Interiors), attending a series of seminars on fine arts and photography on the side. In 2009, she became a member of the Cyprus Photography Society. She has participated in exhibitions locally and abroad in Greece, Belgium, Germany and Austria. Recently, she received an award from the European Policy Center (European Parliament) for her exploration of themes related to human rights in her photography.

Is the observer too close to appreciate the object or am I missing something?

Reminds me of a very long night in the Vancouver airport! The only entertainment, or any comfort, was playing on the moving walkway.
