Mad Men Tv Series Obsession Inspired This Midcentury Cocktails Illustration Series

I pretty much love all things MidCentury. I became obsessed with watching the MadMen series and there’s a lot of fun cocktails being served and drank on that show. That inspired this series of watercolor illustrations. All along I wanted to do a poster, but each cocktail was done on it’s own and then I put them all together in InDesign to make a poster. The single cocktails are made into archival quality prints with the ingredients listed on each one, or there’s an option of just the drink name for those folks that like a cleaner look. It was such a fun personal project to work. Each one was so different from the next and looks so delicious. Even the Cube Libre…. for all of you Rum & Coke drinkers. If that was my drink I’d order it up that way every single time to the bartender, just to say the name! Now that I think about it, maybe I should have tested each one out as I worked on them?
