Italy is a beautiful country with lots of variety. All of these photos have been taken in and around the Cinque Terre areas. People go there see the beautiful villages along the coast. But people often forget the beauty of the back alleys. The little streets where little or no tourists go.
I decided to make a photo series to show these little streets. Especially in spring and summer, the locals always make these little streets beautiful by putting nice flowers and plants. On top of that, you can often find cute cats there as well.

I love this, there is so much "story" just waiting to happen beyond the next archway. Perhaps the ghosts of Romeo and Juliet stealing a moment, as their families pass on nearby streets, to touch, to hold and maybe share a brief, sweet kiss.
